Earlier, Athawale also alleged that Rahul Gandhi is working to divide Hindus. Athawale claimed that "BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi believe in democracy and people have faith in them. So there is no truth in Rahul Gandhi's statement. They are working to divide the society, they campaigned in the Lok Sabha elections on the basis of the constitution".
