Raghav Chadha's ability to articulate important issues in Parliament is of high standards.
@Allwelfare5 күн бұрын
Even otherwise it's a very reasonable appeal because the intent of retirement is to help people to get some rest for working so long. It may have other reasons but historically it's reward for service where they get paid even when they are not working. So, 2 year respite is good to honour the idea of retirement even though it may have other reasons.

My late friend a voracious reader, and8 a wise guy to the boot used to say the courts are for the governed and not the governors and😮 they should view them as public enemy no 1. Unfortunately the roles of judges and their penchant for pleasing the the politicians has blurred their constitutional roles. The aam adami is now wondering where he will get justice....

It is sad to see the reply given by the Hon’ble Law Minister. He didn’t answer the question put forward by a young MP. MP asked question about the appointment of Judges at Executive Posts and Political Posts. But the Minister answered like a 1st year law student by making arguments on Tribunals, etc. He doesn’t even know that Tribunals are bodies independent from the executive. Also Article 50 talks about separation of Executive and Judiciary. Hence, the argument put by young MP is valid. On the topic of cooling-off period, he picked up the morsel given by VP and said that it is not mentioned in Constitution. But there are N number of things Not mentioned in constitution but still we adopt it within the authorities of Constitution such as : Judicial Review not specifically mentioned in Constitution but it’s inferred from Article 13. My argument is “cooling off” period can be associated with the independence of judiciary which is an integral part of Basic Structure of Constitution but the Minister didn’t answer satisfactorily. With all due respect I would say that it happens when you give the posts like of a law minister to undeserving.
