Thanks for the video! Love to see it all come together and make customers happy. The knob with the spring where you put the wire does adjust the tension on the wire. We just buy the machines from Italy they do not supply a package deal. So for the flowmeters it was important to provide customers with a quality meter that is accurate, especially for welding aluminum. The ground clamps are made in house! We only sell the Alcotec wire, the difference between that and other wire is huge. We have a video on why you should only use alcotec wire. Stick with it, there is definitely a learning curve to the pulse welding. You come across a lot of the problems that many other people experience. The gun angle and CTWD is CRITICAL as I am sure peter has explained. That muscle memory is so hard to control from short circuit. If you need anything else let us know! Glad Peter could help you out and get you where you need to be to alleviate some of that frustration. Peter is a tech at HTP and works on R&D, he goes above and beyond for customer which we appreciate tremendously.

Thanks for that rather very honest and candid review of this machine. I'm about to purchase it myself and what you've said about Peter and the customer service convinced me big time this is the way to go. I've been wrestling between this and the Fronius 2200, or the HTP 300 vs the Fronius 2700. Big bucks difference, so you've given me a good nudge towards the HTP and probably the 220. I do a lot of steel so I'm not too worried about the pulse with aluminum, whatever it is has to be better than my Hobart 210 MVP and my spool gun 100. That works okay, but I hate the bulkiness of it. So thanks, good luck moving forward with your machine and be sure to keep us updated! Looks like I'm your first subscriber! Yea!

@@cuskit I was in the same situation as you 6 months ago, now I'm in Ireland so HTP Don't sell in Europe. So I found the manufacturer HTP uses Stel, I got the Stel Iron mig 221P which is 99.9% identical to HTP Pro Pulse 220 MTS, The only thing that wasn't standard was the remote 14 pin remote connection, but I was able to get as an option for €55 which makes it 100% identical. I've been super happy with it, can even get into spray transfer using Argo shield Light, I also looked at the Fronius and I'm sure there great machines but tph this has features the Transteel 2200 doesn't have and you have spend even more to get. I got mine with 2 X 3 meter Mig Guns one with a teflon liner. 1 X Tig torch with Euro connection 1x stinger and work clamp. 20 X tips selection of sizes, 2 X spare nozzles 3 X additional rollers along with the one that's in the machine, I have rolls for aluminium, steel in sizes from .6mm to 1.2mm and flux core rolls. The remote control setup option installed at factory. All for €1916.50 that includes 23% Sales tax (Called VAT). €1558 excluding Tax the VAT is deductible. All in all super happy with the purchase, It's also a really well built machine, very solid. Italy manufacturers quite a bit of machinery and are typically well regarded, I use an Italian made generator Mosa and compressor Shamal both excellent kit. I've 7000 hours on the generator no issues.

Keep the videos coming! I got the pro pulse 300 and love it. Wish I had more time to play with it. Its amazing though. Im doing my aluminum on the spoolgun. Run the steel on 90/10 for pulse spray through the regular 36 series gun. Couldnt be happier with mine.

I love my 220MTS and I can’t be happier. I have attempted aluminum but fail. I will try it again. I am in the same situation. But I have kept mine and love it. With what you said-there is an application for the right tool.

I am loving it for Aluminum… its my sole Alum machine. Once Peter helped me with settings and I got the hang of it, i have been rolling right along… on my 3rd big roll of wire.

I got my Pro Pulse 220 last September. It works quite well. I started with pulse steel mig 90/10 , did a very good job. I switched then to pulse aluminum , having that i have done lots of aluminum mig with my Fronius 2200 , I did not have much of a learning curve. HTP likes you to use Alcotec alumimum mig wire which i have and i also have Nexaloy (made in Canada) aluminum mig wire and I can't tell the difference in either pulse mode. Both are quality wires. Alcotec is owned by Esab . The Nexaloy wire costs less. I buy what I can get when I need it. Both come in 5 lb rolls which they say works better in double pulse.otherwise the 16 lb spool will work for single pulse and no pulse and per pound is cheaper than to 5 lb spools. Do what works for you. I only ruined one aluminum tip so far just watch your tip to work distance I keep it at 1 inch, less trouble and gas flow at 40-45 cfm. good luck and have fun.

How do you find the Aluminum mig welding on the HTP to the Fronius? I’m in need a mig for a lot of Aluminum work and have seen how simple the transteel can be.
@bruced1429
@bruced1429 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrChickenking44 both welders work well for aluminum. If welding thin aluminum like 18 gauge then pulse is best then HTP, but for 1/8 up then you really don't need pulse so 2200 is the machine. It is much easier to set up and use, start with 5356 wire 035. Keep a 3/4 to 1 inch stick out and wire tension really low you should be able to stop the wire with light fnger tension .takes a bit of practise.Both machines do aluminum so well it is had to pick one over the other.I am fortunate to have both. You will need a separate Teflon lined torch lead and gun for aluminum for either machine and the right tips for aluminum. You will be happy with either welder, both are quality welders.

The problem with those little carts is that none of the components are welded together that's why they are so shaky unsturdy. I have one of those they're made out of thin sheet metal that's only folded to shape I welded mines and now it's sturdy as hell.
