I've never noticed the attention to detail they paid at the end of the second film to all of Hiccup's microadjustments in his posture and legs to not fall off of toothless in that scene. Dreamworks always has had amazing details in their animation particularly when it comes to dispersal of impact energy, such as the noticing Toothless bend his legs to absorb shock when leaping from rock to rock, or being able to tell than a character braced for being hit by something or not. EVEN THE WAY SOMETHING IS MADE TO MOVE TELLS YOU IF IT'S HEAVY OR NOT, JUST FROM HOW IT MOVES!! I really do love Dreamworks fantasy stuff. Amazing. Truly.
