Updated 10/15/2022: I decided to make a video with this song because it has kept me at ease over the last few months. Since my previous edit, I have relocated three times, wrapped up a full-time job, and now returned to school, which has consumed much of my time for any creative projects. Amidst the chaos, I gravitated back to the things I'm familiar with and comfortable with to grasp a slice of peacefulness to adjust to the ever-changing, draining life. Of course, HTTYD is always one of them. It remains to be seen if I can adapt to a relatively consistent pace in video editing where I can balance my academic work (and later professional work). I've never studied or worked in media/editing/video productions (which is also why I will always be a fellow amateur editor), so I only hope things work out well going forward, and life permits me more time with my passion. But in short, I'm not going anywhere. I'll try my best to continue with this channel (and maybe a new channel for non-HTTYD edits. Who knows?). In the meantime, I hope you're all well, and I hope you enjoy the video :)

I’ve been watching your edits for years now, but I’ve only had KZbin a account recently, which means I can finally comment, at last. I wanted to say, out of the numerous HTTYD edits and tributes I’ve seen, yours are incredibly special to me. With pleasing editing, unique song choices, and a use of clips that are seemingly much more uncommon, they truly stand out from the rest. For whatever reason, in the past, I also tended check your channel not long before or after another upload by pure chance, which has happened once again today. I finally was able to watch the third movie earlier this year (yes i know im 4 years late shh) i did a little mini marathon of all 3 movies by myself. I cried again at stoicks death and then got to the third one. HTTYD was such a massive part of my childhood, one of if not the first fandom i ever got into and is just generally very close to my heart like it was and is for many people. So watching the third movie, realising this was the end of that story, and the way it ended had me crying, i cried for the entire ending, the credits, and then for about 10 minutes after that. I had this sort of numb feeling for like a week after where i was simultaneously wanting to stay in the world and story through various fandom parts, catching up to different memes, content etc while also avoiding quite a bit of stuff especially stuff that touched on the ending as i would just start crying again. At some point, it got a bit easier and i finally watched one of your edits. And then went on to bingewatch all of them. Some of them made me cry again but they are all so beautiful, so well made. You managed to capture a very specific, nostalgic, youthful, and longing feeling that i cant even put into words properly in so many of them. the same feeling httyd gave me. That exact feeling concentrated, beautifully edited and combined with music that always worked so well. Im not expecting you to read this whole essay/ramble i spewed here as i mainly just needed to outlet these feelings but thank you. I genuinely thank you so much. I applaud your work, i hope life goes well for you, and that you will always able to enjoy your passions. As selfishly as i may want as many of these videos as possible, your health, be it mental or physical, your happiness, and all of that are so much more important than these videos. I think you remind me of when I watched the third movie in the theatre with my friends. When the credits started to roll, the lights went back up, and we walked outside to the night, I thought to myself, "Wow... this is really it. This is the end." And then I sat home, remembering just how big a part this franchise has played in my life, and how many wonderful people from the community I have been able to connect with from all over the world. I really understand how you feel, how we don't want the story to end, how we couldn't let go of the emotions. And that in part became the motivation for me to continue with the edits. The franchise may be over, but we can help keep the memories alive together. I think the same goes for a lot of other HTTYD editors. So that's a piece of my reflection, in exchange for your beautiful rambles :) Know that your words mean a lot to me, and I'm grateful that you wrote them out.
