HTVRONT Mini Heat Press

The great people at HTVRONT saw we were using the Cricut Mini Heat Press, and sent us their own version to compare. Must admit, for about half the price, the HTVRONT Mini Heat Press does a great job! The only downside is the HTVRONT doesn't reach 400 degrees F, which is needed for most dye sublimation. Hi, beginner here, but will the htvront press work on iron on patches? Would it attach them to a cotton shirt? Thanks!

I haven’t tried it but it does reach a temp of 356. I did a quick google search which says the temp to iron on a patch is 350. 🙂

Where do I find a heating guide as to what material you're using and how long to heat for the HTVRont minipress - I have one but hesitant to use it without this information guide. Can't find it anywhere - HELP!

I did a search and didn't find a heat guide specific the HTVRONT mini press. I did find this informaion www.htvront.com/blogs/blog/temperature-guideline-and-time-guideline-for-heat-press-machine-for-heat-transfer-printing. Maybe there's something in the documentation that came with the machine? If it helps, the lowest setting (or 1 light) is 284 degress. The middle setting is 320 degrees and the highest setting is 356 degrees. Hope this helps.

I have a mini device. What type of paper is used for this device? Would any thermal vinyl paper work??

It’s used with heat transfer vinyl (HTV).

Yes. You can put HTV on cotton.

Have you tried it with sublimation?

I have not. I read that this one only heats to 356 degrees. Sublimation typically needs to be between 375 and 400 degrees.
