I'm not sure what a lot of these lyrics mean. I love the song because I find it beautiful, not because I particularly understand it. I've become extremely cautious about commenting on HuaHua's songs. Many of his fans are so eager to protect him from unnecessary speculation that they don't seem to care if they clobber others in the process. I've taken some incredibly harsh comments from people who thought I spoke incorrectly, and maybe I did, but that was sometimes addressed with little or no tact. So now I just keep most of my opinions to myself. Some people are interested in being kind; some are more interested in being right. It seems likely that each person is aware which of these motivates them. I don't know when this stopped being a completely safe fandom, but it has. (Count the number of times the word "speculation" was used in this comment section today.) Enough said, maybe more than enough.

JerisEve love your comment, thank you - I'm with you 100%. I rarely comment because of the abuse from others and have deleted some of my past comments because of it (and I don't post negative or mean comments ever). Such a shame that those who in trying to 'protect' him are doing so in a way that Hua Chenyu himself I doubt would condone. I don't need to totally understand a song to feel it either especially with Hua Hua. Take care 💗

just focus on his music is fine. our comments/remark may upset others this is due to difference in culture. sometimes we mean no harm but others didnt get what we mean. I m A CHINESE but i dont grow up in China so i can feel the great culture difference with my China ET friends too. I also mindful when i chat w them online. n yes they super love Hua n very protective towards him.

Thank you for your reaction. I also like the wheel fingering part on Pipa (A lute like instrument) or Yangqin (A plucking string instrument) of the arrangement when he sang the verse the second time. The metaphors of fire, flowers offers a vivid picture. Even if we can't penetrate the exact meaning, we can still sense the underlying emotions. There is sadness because a mirage/flower in the small town is unattainable although they are beautiful, but also towards the end, a sense of positivity, maybe because he realized that the unattainable is unattainable, he is no longer attached to those unattainable so that he can move on.

Regarding whom the song is about, Hua Hua mentioned that it's inspired by the guidance of a friend. Also he said to his fans at the concert after the first performance: " Today, you are all flowers in the small town, beautiful and delicate". (in a joking manner). That's all the references he explicitly gave regarding the song. The rest are all speculations.

I can I understand that people like this here, but not very much for me. He should be very proud of the stage set-up he has used. Lots of lights and effects help on the concert stage

We dont really discuss his personal life here. He likes low profile. we shall respect this. if he is ready to share, he will.. focus on his music thats his hardwork.

I will focus, and talk about whatever I deem relevant. If you are cool with ignoring things about your favorite artist.. that’s chill. But not everyone is like you. Some people are interested.

Not sure where some are getting the idea it is about his mother or that she passed away. Hua has never said anything to the fact...I try not to speculate/repeat a speculation that cannot be confirmed and spread more rumors...rumors repeated often enough appear as "truth". I want to respect his privacy since he chooses not to share more. Hua Chenyu has emphasized several times that this song is about a good friend who went through struggles and shared with him her philosophies, which helped him. No matter what, Hua has grown and matured and it is reflected in his music, where he is opening his heart more and sharing more of his inner feeling with us.💗

He said his “friend” went through hard time, struggling, releasing and finally become empty. The mean of empty in Chinese is very obvious. He didn’t it say directly, however his mother passed away this year is not a secret. Fans respect his privacy and keep the message quiet, doesn’t mean to deny things that already happened.

@@jli4073 Thanks for sharing. Maybe one day when Hua wants to share more; but yes, we respect his privacy.
@pattypetronillemartin26082 жыл бұрын
@@jli4073 It also doesn’t mean that we have to spread stuff that HuaHua didn’t want to share directly. If he wanted to talk about his mother, he would have done so but he chose to talk about a friend, that’s all, the rest is only gossip and speculation.
@grandnewworld10102 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Thank you for speaking up. Let's respect his privacy. I don't think it's his intention to have people discuss the circumstances of his mother every time this song is played and shared.

@@jli4073 Hua Hua said that the song is about Buddhist practices. In Buddhism, Emptiness is a central concept of . Classical sutras like Heart sutra is all about how to achieve the state of "Emptiness" which has nothing to do the common notion of "Emptiness" . Please check out the concept of Emptiness in Buddhism. It meaning may not be clearly explainable, but at least you can tell it's not the common notion of "non-existent". Hua Hua talks about "Emptiness" a lot throughout of his career. For example 2020's new year's gala. In those contexts, obviously it's not about the common concept of "Emptiness".

Please dont talk about such obvious speculations. ET has a very sensible guideline not to discuss speculations if HCY hasnt openly talked about it or confirmed it. There are enough rumours in the world.

As you can see by the numbers of views you get for singers like Billy Eilish and Grace VanderWaal their fans aren't watching reaction videos. Diana, Dimash, Daneliya and Angelina basically have 100s of covers to watch so most of their fans are running around from reaction video to reaction video and reactors get big viewing numbers for them. Kids are mostly online with their phones and they don't waste time they go directly to their favorite places, Instagram and Tiktok. Billy and Grace have millions of followers there (even Grace's sister gets a million views on tiktok) It's appears to be the over 40 crowd that watches reaction videos. If you go through AJ reaction comments they appear to be all old farts. Even in the new year with the Disney movie and new EP I don't see Grace's reaction viewing numbers increasing just by seeing how many views you get for Billy. Teens just watch the huge reactors, people like Paredes's and Roomie
