This is an absolutely beautiful film of Yam and Fong in 1958. It is unfortunate the film is lost and that we can only listen to the original sound track. Thank you belatedly , Ms Wing, for uploading this beautiful original sound track for our enjoyment. I have listened to it countless times and am strongly recommending to others. One can close her eyes, Yam's powerful singing, in its melodious sense, vividly paints a picture of this touching scene. Fong's singing matches perfectly with Yam. On this day, Nov. 29, 2024, let us take a moment of silence to remember Madam Yam Kim-Fai, the most unique personality of the Cantonese opera stage and screen. 35 years have passed since she died, at age 76, on Nov. 29, 1989, Yam's star remains undimmed. She is able to retain multi-generational recognition to this day. Her definitive style in playing the leading male role beautifully is engrained in our heart and in our mind.
