Title loosely translates into English: (Fire dispatched) A fire at dusk in a residential area populated with heavy people! The sirens don't stop. Emergency driving with a total of 18 units.

Why the bell sound incorporated into the siren? Is it tradition or is it thought that it actually helps get attention?
@kershaw1172 жыл бұрын
probably both.

It's a kind of tradition. Old Japanese fire fighters used bells to tell others that they were rushing and for caution. You heard three bells with the siren in this footage, and that means the fire engines were rushing for FIRE. After being extinguished, the engines go back to their fire stations with ringing two bells without siren; it tells neighbourhood that the fire is now under control. If they rush for solely rescue mission, they only blow their sirens, no bells.

Tokyo has small fire trucks jesus christ... what type of pump fits into a small truck
@philyew36172 жыл бұрын
Have you heard the saying- "It's not the size of your equipment, It's how you use it". They're comparable to many British and other Countries tenders. They deliver just as much water as those oversize Tonka Toys in the US, and, they get there and into use a hell of a lot faster. There is one video on YT which shows a large vehicle on fire right in the entrance of a very large very busy Supermarket in the UK. From arrival on scene the first pump has water on the fire in 8 seconds. Many American comments on the video thread say it should be used as a training video in the US.
