Hua Chenyu REACTION (I Don't Care)

This is one of my favourite songs of his. He composed the song by himself within one day. It is trying to demonstrate an attitude that he does not care about what others said or what they suggested. Actually, Huahua has been criticized a lot ever since he debuted 5 years ago because his music and his performing style is very different from the mainstream music of China. But he refused to follow what the mainstream suggested him to do, he just wanted to be himself and do the music that he thinks is beautiful and powerful. The lyrics of this song is also powerful and inspiring. That is why I love him so much.

The lyrics are really meaningful too - it's about him being himself and not having to conform to other people's expectations. When he first got famous, people called him a psycho/mental because of some of his 'fake monk'-like songs. This is his way of saying he is who he is.

I cannot agree more on how international artists were marginalized in the states. Mainstream American media simply turn a blind eye to great talents from pretty much every non-English speaking country. It's a blessing to have an unprejudiced platform like KZbin.

It is amazing what music is out there to find. There is terrific music coming out of Spain, Greece and other European countries that don't get any airplay. Even places like Thailand and (need I say) the Philippines have fantastic singers that we never get to hear about. Thanks for your reaction to wonderful Hua Hua. He is a genuine superstar - not a plastic replica made for us by the big music publishers.

You have really good points here. I'm Chinese living in Australia, everytime when people talk to me about American or western musicians, they used the term " worldwide" famous to describe them. But do their world include China, Korea, Japan and other places? Or they just assume everything they know is just "worldwide"....i wish there's more people open minded like you, that can see the other side of the world.

Ni Hao! I found your videos when I was hungrily looking for all reactions! and your reaction is so...real that I really like to watch them. If you don't mind, could I recommend another young Chinese singer to you? His name is HuoZun (Henry Huo), same age with Hua Chenyu, joined Singer 2018 from ep.8 to final. Huozun has an immaculate voice that makes audiences feel so soft and peaceful. He is talented in singing on a broad vocal range and has been spending 4 years to learn Chinese opera(falsetto). He learned piano since 12 therefore often playing piano as part of his performance. Huozun appreciates classic art and traditional cultures, he mixes them with pop songs as his personal style, by this means he tried to introduce traditional arts to young people. by the way, he looks really, really cute!!!!
