No she is kind of like a hostage or tribute from Yehe, another tribe, that she was the princess of. Her name is Yehe Nara Buxiamalah, considered the most beautiful girl of her people, the Jurchens. Her aunt Monggo is married to Nurhaci, the chief, and father of the future Qing dynasty of China. Hong Taiji is her cousin. She has been living with Nurhaci’s tribe as a young girl and grew up with his sons, who loved her for her intelligence and her beauty. However she was never allowed to marry anyone because it was prophesied that who ever married her would rule their world (China), so Nurhaci naturally would not let her marry anyone but himself. He was obsessed with power and saw her as a symbol to be conquered just like conquering the land. That’s the premise of this story. These are actual historical people, but the story is fictionalized into a romance. Her nickname as Buxiamalah is Dong ge.
