It's nearly 3 years that I got this phone and it's still going alright. Of course it as limited memory that not even an SD card will help, so you have to choose carefully which apps to install. For instance, if you have whatsapp and instagram, you can't have FB too, and I advice to keep updates to a minimum.

a very good phone.i just had one ,after unlock the bootloader and root it i could install the ROM:Emotion UI 1.0, it works very good and 7240 of ANTUTU score

I got this about half a year ago, and now it is very slow and laggy and there is literally no storage, so I'm getting a sd card. It doesn't take very long to charge.

is it true There is a microSDHC card slot for adding up to 32 GB but Google still won’t let you store your apps there. You're not going to fit many of the larger apps on the Y300

now that u mention it...hmm... probably because they use english(wider audience=>more views=>more videos, their audience use english too), and i think i heard somewhere something about they are being the largest 3rd world country that has most of its population actually access internet only/more on mobile phone/smartphone rather than on desktops/laptops

To everyone complaining about this device: Use your brain! Do you even think that a 50-70$ smartphone is going to do the same that a S5 or an MI4 or another top end device does? If it was that way, then there would be no need for makers to do 800$ phones , wouldn't it?? If you want a full power 800$ device , then go ahead and empty your wallet. Just don't complain about a device that was made to be good and cheap. And this one achieves both great price and good performance for the price. To sum it up, you can't get better device and with Huawei warranty for this price!

It's annoying having this phone. It's slow, app shuts down by itself and what's the most annoying is the fact that even if I have space on my phone for other apps, everytime I want to install a new one it tells "Insufficent space on the device". And yes, I have a micro sd card, I set that the apps be saved on SD, but it still doesn't let me install anything, because of "insufficent space"

I got the phone and it is nice for a budget phone but...yes...it gets slow after a while. I have it for a little over a year now and it simply lags everywhere. Android needs power anyways to work. For the price it is good but i would buy a more powerful phone for android.

It's ok. It's not fast like an high end, but it's definitely not slow. Things I do realise, is that if it does get slow, it's usually because the ram is being used up. So close background apps and if necessary close some running processes from in the apps management(in settings) and you should be good. I also realise that after doing something which involves the memory card, like transfering a file from my computer to the phone, it gets slow when the sd card is being mounted. So all I do is, clear cache and restart the phone and im back to normal speeds. Besides the little bit of speed hiccups, all around the phone is decent.
