:)) it's a router that has a data SIM card inside and it makes the same thing as a hotspot from your mobile but with a better signal, you can add an external antenna etc. It is useful when you go in a place where you don't have a cable internet provider.

Right now we are having poor network issues and I was thinking if should change the router. This seems good option.

I'm using a router like this when my main internet provider stops working. I plug it in and I can continue my work. the speed is really good too!

I just got this router, I tried 4 carriers and 4 different sim cards.... it doesn't work, says no service and second icon is red colored. who is your provider? what sim card do you use?

I live in Romani so my providers might be different then yours. I tried Orange, Vodafone and Rcs&Rds. I would first check on the package to see of they say it is blocked on a specific provider. Also in my case every time I changed the provider I had to change the internet settings of the router to use that provider details...not sure if in other countries you need to do this but I assume that you should!

@@AcrossThePlanet I see, what setting do you change every time you change provider? please give details...

You need to configure the APN settings for 4G LTE Modems For most service providers 4G LTE Modems will auto detect APN settings but in some rare occasions you will need to configure APN settings before you can access the Internet(I had to manually change it every time I switch the provider). You must get the APN (Access Point Name) settings from your mobile Internet service provider before doing this( I found this on their website) 1. To configure an APN for 4G LTE Modem launch a web browser from a device that is connected to the modem. The device can be a computer that is directly connected to the modem or a client from a router that is connected to the modem. 2. In the address field of your web browser, enter 192.168.5.1. 3. In the Sign In field, enter the modem password and click the Sign In button. The default password is password (case-sensitive). 4. Select Settings > Mobile > APN. 5. To add a custom APN profile, click the Add button. 6. Enter the settings for the new APN profile and click the Save button. You have successfully configured an APN for your 4G LTE Modem

@@AcrossThePlanet great, thanks a lot! Last question - does the internet goes via cell phone internet data plan directly, as I understand?
@ALPHAGENXCORP4 жыл бұрын
@@AcrossThePlanet I assume you just add "APN: internet.vodafone.ro User: internet.vodafone.ro Parola: vodafone" And that's it? then will router auto detect right away? or you must restart the router?

Poor internet in a rural house - we are so familiar with it!

Yeah, during this pandemic we moved to our countryside house were we usually run to relax for a day or two and in the past and we didn't had internet. If we extended our stay we had to find a simple solution!🙂
