PC mode is great on this phone. I have the Mate 10 and a lot of my 3rd party apps are supported. Even Mobdro, Showbox and Kodi. The Chrome experience is great as well. This phone will really let you cut the cord.

Does it has that grainy effect on the pictures as the p10 has? Nice review.. am a p series fan.. have to wait for p11. But until now I think p9 camera is the best, and it reads the light in a much better way. but.. do u think that the monochrome camera is really that important?

painful1978 I’ve got the Mate 10 and have zero interest in monochrome photos, however I’ve tried it out and actually it’s rather stunning, given the right subject. Strangely it takes amazingly nice animal shots, my favourite so far oddly is a photo of my black and white cat, so the cats essentially already monochrome 😀 The 2x zoom is very easy and seems genuinely lossless. Also the color camera is 12mp, however you can choose in settings 20mp and its color, this is a bit confusing as the monochrome is the 20mp lens. Anyway it seems excellent quality and colors in 12 or 20mp seem identical. To do monochrome you flip to a different part of the settings.

It is that important because it works alongside the rgb sensor. It helps you to get more details in your photo, which really helps in low light scenes. That's also why you get options like a 20mpx shoot, hybrid zoom and that blurred effect in the background.

Yeah it looks like a good phone the only problem with Huawei is they don't support any kind of updates in the US ....I've had the US Mate 9 for almost a year and it hasn't received any( NO )updates for the last 10 months since last April and so you can buy Mate 10 but don't expect any updates in America... The Mate 9 has this KZbin bug ... when you start KZbin and you're watching a video... The screen is black the screen until you exit KZbin and go back into the KZbin and then choose that video again and then it will play so you can see the screen and this bug been on there since day one with this phone and they haven't fixed it so be cautious when buying the mate 10... And I like my Mate 9 but there has been no support here in the US.

GadgetMatch .... The only problem is there is no software support in the US as I've had the US mate 9 for almost a year and it hasn't received any updates since April which is about 10 months ago... It's been a pretty decent phone but I would never get another Huawei as I won't put my banking or any kind of money apps on this phone because it gets no security updates or bug fixes or emui updates nothing

I'm choosing the Huawei Mate 10. Because I'm preferred the standard 16:9 aspect ratio, lot of features and great dual camera. Also comes with PC Mode and getting the latest version of Android and EMUI version that looks pretty well for me of choosing Mate 10.

I've seen the Mate 10 and it's a very nice phone... Top tier specs, great looks, headphone jack, micro sd slot... What's not to like? Not to mention the price... It's still pricey, but for a flagship it's a lot more palatable compared to other flagships. Very nice phone... Can't wait for the P20... Or is it P11... Oh well.

i think the new screen form factor of 18 by 9 (19 by 9 or 18,5 by 9 - whatever), that allows for 2 apps side by side it is very good, but when i stopped the vid at 01,55, i saw the black bars around the screen of the PRO model, and i was not expecting that, along side the fact that it does NOT have a microsd (why ???????) and a little bit less about the fact that it does not have a headphone jack, so HUAWEI should make some changes. Also the Mate 10 should have the fingerprint sensor on the back, because if you reach down to it, you can unbalance the grip of the phone and drop it !!!

The Mate 10 and 10 pro are an absolute NO for me cause its just the comparison of the 10 and the 10 pro like the Mate 10 has better resolution but LCD, but the 10 pro is OLED but lower resolution and ni headphone jack and the Mate 10 has a fingerprint scanner on the front (which I dont like) The Mate 10 / 10 Pro are just not for me cause theres alot to choose of and sacrificing features like water proofing, headphone jack, screen type and resolution.
