8:30 honestly the #1 tip for any android phone is "Text Size", because this is basically your "UI scale" for the entire phone and all apps within it. Always set it as small as possible to read, because you get more stuff to fit on your screen. Its a night and day difference.

One of the primary reasons for purchasing this phone is the IR Blaster! It's the ONLY new flagship that still has one and with 3 young children, I have no remotes so I live in this app! Very pleased with Huawei, overall. I was unsure as this was my first device from this manuf. but I couldn't be happier with it! Good riddance Samsung!

Just a tip for knuckle gestures, for it to work everytime, use a bit of force and 'hit' your knuckle on the screen when you start to draw the letter. Works like that everytime.

Nice video! I just got this phone and I absolutely love it! The only thing that is a bit irritating is how it lacks a few software and hardware features in comparison to the often cheaper Mate 10 and even the budget sister brand Honor with their V10. Oh, and subscribed!

With knuckle gestures you need to tap a bit harder first up, then draw your shape. Otherwise you are just swiping shapes which isn't the same.

For me, it has to be screen resolution setting. Not everyday you need to run on fhd tbh if you're just using social apps or on the go. 😁

I have the Mate 10 pro but when I go to photo I do not have all the options you have. At the top I only have 4 options. flash, moving picture enabled, vivid colors, and settings.I do not have the wide aperture or your final one on the far right? Checked my software and I'm up to date 9.0.

I got the US version yesterday it came defaulted with the app drawer option on. Several of the reviews I saw didn't like that it was gone so I think they switched it before they shipped them out.

Nice, thinking about getting the phone, I understand the draw could be enabled from previous research, but it is good to know that Huawei is sensitive to markets outside of their home market, and that most users in North America and maybe Europe prefer the draw.

Michael Paris be careful. I had to return mine. It was great at everything except making phone calls. I would be having a business conversation in my phone with just hang up on them. This wasn't an instance of me losing connection, the song with just end the call. It's also stopped registering incoming calls. I ended up having a replacement phone sent to me and that phone works for 3 days before it, too, started exhibiting the same issues. Unfortunately, as much as I loved it for everything else, I had to send it in. But that hasn't stopped me from giving the Huawei P20 Pro a sexy side eye.

Eluminary Xarrais then I'm jealous brother (or sister 😁) because I really LOVED my phone. Unfortunately, when I called the Huawei support team they were supremely unhelpful. And I thought, that because I have the porch addition, that I would receive extra care. Man they treated me like I found the phone on the street and should be thankful that they didn't report me to the cops. Lol. But if my phone had stayed connected during phone calls I would still have it today. And despite my troubles, I'm still looking forward to the mate 11. I will definitely consider giving that new phone a chance.

Hi Ello. I was using a theme at the time. Unfortunately I can’t remember which theme it was. If you look up EMUI themes on the Google Play Store there are a ton of options though.

This phone is supposed to be dual SIM, but I can only fit one SIM, and can't seem to use a 2nd SIM card. I even took it to Tmobile to get a SIM adaptor for the other slot but no help there. So what is the extra slot for, as it won't even fit my SD card? This is a deal breaker for me, cause I'd like to be able to use my 2 phone lines on just one phone. 😣
