The Mate 20 Pro could be charged up to 15W wirelessly (I heard it's included in the box as well, but I might be mistaken), and it's the same power when it's transferring its charge to other devices. On some markets, if you preorder it, you get a free fast wireless charger + 128 gb nano card, also for free. 1000 is a lot, but when I bought my samsung s2+NFC years ago, I paid 630 euros. So, if you calculate the charge time per 1000 ma/h ( which is one a/h) you will see that the Note9 is actually faster than the Pixel 3. The Note9 is almost at the same speed as the Mate 20. Mate 20 pro: 69 min / 4200mah = 16.43 min per ah Mate 20: 100 min / 4000 mah = 25 min per ah Pixel 3: 114 min / 3430mah = 33.24 min per ah Note 9: 121 min / 4000mah = 30.25 min per ah IPhone XS: 202min / 3174mah = 63.64 min per ah

These types of sensationalist tests have no real science behind them. The Mate 20 pro is a clear winner by any metric. It'll be interesting to see how much capacity each battery will retain in 2 years. 40W is a crazy amount of power to throw at a phone battery, it just generates excessive heat. My Chinese fast charging phone has a dead battery in less than 15 months. The iPhone will have the longest lasting battery in 2 years followed by the Samsung.

The charging technology used by Huawei is quite clever in that it uses a proprietary charger and cable based on high current delivery and not voltage to the phone. So these phones if used with their supplied chargers will probably still retain good capacity in 2 years. My phone is capable of fast charge but I don't do it because of the heat problem. I don't think they(Huawei) can circumvent the heat the problem when wirelessy charging though.

@@GenusAnas it's exactly for prolonging battery life. So let's say your battery is good for 500 charges (0-100%). Each time you go from 0-100 it counts as 1 charge. No biggie. Well, the 0-70% barely wears on your battery (hence why it charges so quickly). From 70% on it stresses the battery because it's trying to force the rest of the juice in there since there less room for it to go. Linus tech tips has a amazing video talking about this. So if I charge from 0-70% it'd only count as a 0.13 (roughly) charge for wear on the battery. Meaning I can charge my phone from 0-70% 8 times to 1 of your 0-100% charges. The app Accubattery does a great job of keeping track of this. It's why my Pixel XL still gets 4-5 hrs screen on time and holds a charge like a champ 3 years later.

@@udipta21 what Huawei is asking 1050$ for this clone. let's be honest whenever someone will look at your phone the first thing he would say is" is that an iphone???". Also it has a 2k display not even QHD, 4K note 9 and even Sony Z3 are better than this. Huawei is a paper tiger it's 980kirin chooser barely beats SD845 by 1000-5000 in Antutu and is 70,000 behind iphoneXr,Xs. So what's unique left in it. Huawei can just make fun of apple, Samsung but can't even close to their performance and reliability. Atleast apple and Samsung don't use a DSLR to take photo and show them as camera sample of their phone

I bougt me Huawei mate 20 pro 5 days ago, i am really impressed with it's ability, i use it for 10 hours watching KZbin, playing and googling, it still have 30% of battery, it is really the best of the best with less than half the price of the iPhone xs.

OnePlus 6T would obviously get the rebranded version of SuperVOOC Fast Charging of the Find X. Speaking of fast charging, it would be cool if phone batteries are still user replaceable (it's possible for a phone to be waterproof even with a removable battery, simply by having the battery lock completely sealed in). By switching batteries, LG V20 goes from 0 to 100 in less than 2 minutes.

I think the note 9 has the sweet spot of the fast charging world. Too fast would definitely degrade your battery much quicker.

just look it up. Lithium ion batteries do not like extreme conditions and that extreme fast charging is not healthy.

@Nguyễn Hải Dương basic science, fast charging causes overheating, and lithium ion batteries hate heat, because it causes degradation in their cells. Unless it's like what huawei claims "graphene assisted high temperature barriers" then that's different.

True but its also when it's getting close to full charge that it starts to degrade the battery. Hense the slow down in charging speed at 90 percent. Also charging your phone overnight kills battery life but I bet 98 percent of everyone here leaves it on charge over night. If you say you don't then I call bull shit

Not for most chinese manufacturers. They are leagues ahead in battery charging because all the strain is in the charger not the battery. Look it up. The Note 9 and Iphone both heat up the battery while charging while the Huawei fast charge doesn't heat up the battery at all because it has higher current not higher voltage which is what degrades battery faster.
