I think it happened for the good. The ban has forced huawei to make smartphones completely in-house, which made them independent. They improved and perfected the smartphones hardware and software and are now at par with global competitors. This brand has now become a strength for China, this goes to just show how advanced and determined China is even when entire world comes to pull you down

I have been a die hard Huawei fan and a hardcore user from last 5 years. I have Mate 30 Pro, P40 Pro, Mate 50 Pro, Free Buds Pro, Watch GT3 Pro and now buying Huawei Mate X Pro laptop and a Pro tablet in 2025. When it comes to innovation and creativity, nothing beats Huawei.

@@krushnachChandra I am also a Huawei fan and I switched to its sub brand after Android was banned from Huawei products. I haven’t experienced any issues with Honor phones either and they are far better than other flagship phones in the same price range.

That was a stupid comparison... the Huawei main camera is f/1.4-f/4.0 and the Vivo is f/1.6. If you shoot with f/4.0 on the Huawei, of course a larger part of the image will be on focus... You can see it also in the previous shot where the background is more blurred on the Vivo... They should have compared the details in the focused part of the image, not in the corner

I think its fair to say that even if sanctions were rolled back (I suggest everyone go and look up the reason it happened - pure fantasy and hypocrisy ) I think its fair to say that Huawei would stick to their intent for both Chinese produced SoC solutions and HarmonyOS. Great review, awesome phone and great to see a brand innovating these days.

There are many reviews from China users that complained that this phone isn't great. Huawei used to make fantastic phones but not now. The chipset set used are old generation models still at 7nm while other similar level new phones brands have moved on the have 3nm. In other words, the processing speed are slower. Buyer beware.

Hi, I would love to see a side-by-side comparison between the latest Pixel device and the Huawei Mate 70 Pro+. It’s worth highlighting that the Google Tensor G4 chipset has a similar AnTuTu score to the Hi Silicon Kirin 9020. Even though Google had the opportunity to use the latest chipset, this demonstrates that the "chip size race" is more of a marketing gimmick than a true performance differentiator. While Google's chip is considered much slower than the latest offerings from Snapdragon or MediaTek, it is still smart enough to handle AI applications efficiently and delivers satisfactory frame rates for gaming.
