Great overview and review Grant. Amazing effort going into finer details. Definitely help us make an educated decision to which option to go for.. Got a couple of question I'm hoping you can help out.. I currently have a Samsung S7 Edge and iPhone 6 , looking to switch to Mate 9 Pro for its dual sim capability... Ques 1. Have you tested the battery performance running on 2 sim ? My S7 Edge scanner were so sensitve it constantly picked up my palm in the pocket and attempted to unlock phone. This resulted in me constantly locking myself out for X amount of minutes. I have since disabled the fingerprint feature and uses motion gesture to unlock my phone.. Quest 2. Has your palm / other finger ever made contact with the scanner and bcos it is not your thumb, the phone constantly rejects entry to the phone ? I hope my questions makes sense and I look forward to your response. Much appreciated.. Kelvin.

Thanks for checking it out and the kind feedback. I have not used dual SIM cards yet. Also I don't have an issue with false fingerprint reads in my pocket. It does give 4 attempts before locking you out, but it hasn't been an issue for me.

+Jörgen Nilsson It is a great phone. Great performance, beautiful design, solid camera, etc. Only thing is the display isn't as nice outdoors as the regulator Mate 9, which is a bit disappointing.

Ahh i have not tested the regulator Mate 9. So that model have even a better screen. Strange that it is a so big difference there. But great phones overall :)

mate 9 Pro using same fingerprint gestures than mediapad M3, they are short touch=back, long touch=home and swipe left or right= multitasking and long touch +swipe up= Google app in settings they find "navigation key" not fingerprint settings

I wouldn't recommend it unless you're alright with little to no software updates. If you're looking save some cash, then maybe look into a S7 Edge or even Galaxy A series depending on how much you can get them for.

Don't have the P10 or P10 Plus, so going off specs and what I've heard about it the P10 has a better pair of rear cameras. I think the rest of it goes to the Mate 9 Pro. So ultimately, do you really want a better rear camera setup and also factor in the price difference where you are.

Yes, amazing they fit that battery in there. The screen curve is much more subtle than the Samsung Edge phones after looking at it closer after doing this video.
