Id still take the power house that is Dell G5 series, its good value and can do much more for productivity and gaming sure its a bit bulky but if I wanted thin and light with productivity id just go apple considering the prices of the xps lineup are the same as apple macbooks.

I have the original Matebook X Pro from a few years ago, and I gotta say, I still absolutely love this machine! I don't do anything too intensive, so the i5 model has suited my needs wonderfully. The screen is great for consuming media and doing everyday tasks, the speakers are loud and clear, the touchpad is smooth and responsive, and I get anywhere from 7 to 10 hours on a charge depending on usage. If you're in the market for a new laptop for average usage, you cannot go wrong with this one!

@@calogerobellomo6671 hi, unfortunately I'm not really sure. I use my computer mostly for internet, microsoft office, and some light games. But, if you're looking to do more graphics-intensive work, you may be better off with the i7 model since it has a dedicated GPU.

A warning to anyone who wants this laptop. Mine arrived today and first thing I did was test the temperatures. While I can't say it lags in use even when heavily thermal throttling, it throttles very easily and quickly. Granted its hot weather in the UK at the moment however, the whole laptop gets hot, and extremely hot to the touch in some spots. I had intended to undervolt it too but intel have blocked undervolting completely on the latest gen of intel chips so that's been a spanner in the works. Itd be a great laptop if it had proper cooling but its really bad. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

update: it throttles at 70 degrees. 5ghz cpu running at 800-1200mhz on all cores with the fan on full and running runescape 3 :'D. (I swear im just using rs3 as a 3d graphics - i promise.) :'D.

I've had issues too. First two days was horrible and same issues as yours. But after I did all the windows updates. All the driver updates and updates from PC manager it has calmed down. On battery I'm seeing 37-42 degrees light use. On power it heats up more but I found out that if you bring the battery slider for performance down to better battery rather than best performance this helps. Give it a try let me know how you get on please. I haven't pushed the laptop too hard yet however and mostly been on battery. Have you tried undervolting using the latest setting on the matebook redit page?

@@Bobo_ali13 interesting... undervolting has been removed by intel for all cpus now =\ I had intended to undervolt but of course, this. For me, the temps stay in the 70s (heats up super quick...) but just thermal throttles. As soon as it uses the IGPU it goes into meltdown.

Been using these Huawei Matebook pro laptops since 2018 models and i would recommend if you need the GeForce MX250 graphics then look elsewhere for a different laptop. The cooling really isn't very good for those models and a lot of people get failures/BSOD due to the heat issues. If you go for the i5 or i7 models with just the intel graphics then these laptops are stella. Very good indeed. You really are taking your chances with the Nvidia models tho and they won't last as many years as the Intel models before you have problems. The small bump in graphics performance you get from the Nvidia models just isn't worth the trade-off of longevity.

As an owner of the 2018 Matebook X Pro, I must say this series is very reliable and great for almost any task, as I surf the web, type, game, and light video edit. My generation has an MX150, but that is enough for me, and I am building a desktop PC for myself now. The MX25” is a nice touch. Does anyone know if they changed the Thunderbolt 3 port from a half speed to a full speed? That was one sore point for me. I can still get 1080p at 144hz, but it is still very frustrating.

Dell XPS 13's audio quality is noticeably inferior to Matebook X Pro ... it may bother some people .. Matebook X Pro probably has the best speakers among all laptops, I've tried so many laptop speakers, only MacBook Pro 16inch's speakers is comparable ..

@@elaizamonica I have the 2018 matebook bro. It's a pretty great laptop: light, compact, very fast and capable for daily use with great battery life. I love 3000 x 2000 pixel touch screen - arguably the best on any windows laptop. The only thing I hate is the webcam positioning which makes it harder for other people too see your face during a video call.

Between this Huawei macbook x pro 2020 and the Huawei matebook 14 2020, which one would you choose, the x pro has a mx 250 graphic and the matebook 14 2020 mx 350. Wow. It has a charger wich u can use to charge ur phone and transfer data. Dolby atmos speakers, 4 of them and especially the camera. Camera on keyboard is next level design. The quality is great.

Lewis Morgans you’ll probably get a much better deal with this. i think on the website you get a gift of either a watch or a tablet if you buy before June 30. i guess it depends on much you like MacOS / hate windows. can you see yourself getting used to windows? it’s been called a gateway windows for apple users because it looks a lot like a Macbook

I think Matebook 13 2020 i7 is a better purchase then Matebook X. Pretty much same internal hardware (10th Gen i7 16GB with MX250) with smaller 512GB SSD, slightly smaller (13.9 vs 13) and lower nit (450 vs 300) display and and no USB-A port. Also no speaker on top only two bottom firing ones. But it's £1,199 so a whooping £500 cheaper plus webcam on top of screen. Given that Matebook X don't give you DDR4 and WiFi 6 for the extra money and only thing you missing is half of SSD and a little worse screen (still miles better then a lot of other laptop) Matebook 13 is better purchase to me.

Macbook: if you love macOS and dont mind paying $500 extra for the same specs compared to other options you listed Surface laptop 3: The screen resolution is slightly less than the macbook and matebook and i7 + 16 + 512 models cost slightly more than zenbook 15 and matebook pro Zenbook: Notorious for heating problems, avoid if you can Matebook: Bad webcam positioning but otherwise has the best qualities of all other other options

I have a Huawei matebook pro X, had a slight jar- dropping maybe a foot from bed to thick carpet, wouldn't think it would've done much damage but it's now completely "dead". I only get a single flash of the power light when I hit the hard power on... No screen, options etc. I've found little to no information about how/where to go about repairing.. Any suggestions? great for content creator and some light gaming i love that they include a adapter but i doesn't have a full size sd card so you'll have to buy another adapter and i personally really don't care about the touch screen and it would be better if they lower the price in my opinion they are great for business kind of stuff. There are a few things that just doesn't fit into my want list. I don't want Windows ... so where is the Huawei Harmony Os ? Not available ? Still want AMD R7 cpu with AMD GPU or MX450 GPU ? Does it all come down to the lack of drivers, software incompatibility or just too many kinks to sort out ? I'll wait for Huawei to offer more than Windows or Intel regardless of where Harmony Os ends up.
