The strap actually is a USB to micro USB cable for charging your phone. Don't throw it away.

Hi I want to use the device and connect it to the ethernet and use a SIM card inside the Device. Do you know if this works well and can you turn the wifi off while using a sim and a Ethernet cable ( I need this for my work basically using it a home router but I travel around a lot.) Hi Alan Im now confused, do I get a e5885 or e5372. My situation is im struggling to get a broadband provider to do an install and need a temporary bband/wifi solution that will serve the whole house as my partner and I work from home. Do I get a e5372 and your reviewed bi-directional arial or e5885 that has better coverage but no ariel input? Ive purchased a data only sim to get me started.

you need a mobile router, of mine the e5885 has been great but its beena while since i looked whats out there. im sure you can do better now. even better if you can hook it to external antennas.

Can I use it as my main wifi source? For instance if I plug it in my living room, will the mifi signal be strong enough to reach the adjacent rooms? Can I connect my TV to it?

probably not. thats not what its designed for. get a standalone home mobile router.

Alan.. HELP... I have a daughter who whinges. Her latest is the WiFi drops out as we are on wet string in a rural area of Lincolnshire (UK for others) and she cannot connect to the printer, this on WiFi drop out when her system or phone reverts to 4G as the printer is on the WiFi home system. So the question is what do we need to make the printer accept a 4G signal please.

weak wifi is your router and setup, its nothing to do with the area or internet. its just your local network she is on. its just the fact the phone is dropping wifi, nothing to do with 4g. you need a proper home wifi network, no idea what you have but look at a dedicated setup like the unifi's.

I have the huawei E5573b and am lucky to get 4mgps when it's sat next to my phone and usually I'm lucky to get 2mbps.So I will definitely be switching to another device.

I've been looking for an app that can read Huawei E5573 (band 28 enabled) exact signal strength in dBm but can't find any. I'm curious, which one is that you're using?

My complaint is the WLAN network is very very bad. Communication between two devices connected to this device is limited at about 30MB/s with mine even of 5Ghz. The other things it uPnp is not very reliable.
