TechLineHD Hey TechLine HD I have a question. I am thinking of buying either xiaomi mi a1 or Huawei P smart but i don't know which one! On the one hand I want portrait mode on both cameras(huawei p smart) but xiaomi i think does it better with the portrait mode. I also want nice display (P smart) but stock android(xiaomi mi a1).Lastly as for the design i prefer Xiaomi mi a1! The things that matter for me on a phone are ●very good rear and front camera ●beautiful design ●nice ui experience ●good battery ●Much ram memory and storage memory ●to have nice features ●Good display and near bezel-less ●customisation settings ●without bugs,lags and slowing down over time because I use my phones a lot and for many years! ●Portrait mode if available in both cameras! @@Aiantaschr well, if you dont play 24/7 on it, it has a pretty good battery. If you want to save up battery, you can stop mobile data and wifi while you aren't using the wifi. Hope i helped! Even though its a bit late..

got the Honor 7x, very good for the price. EMUI is very good even if i thought i'd never said that before. Once themed and well customized it's very snappy and fast. Battery optimizations are as good as using greenify or other alike apps.

THANK YOU for this review. You are the first to show this phone DOES HAVE a gyroscope. I watched about 5 or 6 reviews, in different languages, and none showed it in action. The official specs don't mention it, and other honor/huawei phones don't have it. I'm looking for a good and affordable Android phone, this one seems like a good contender. I was almost convincing myself to buy a S7 (more powerful, more 4G bands, etc, but more pricey...), but this video confirmed my initial thought. :)

TechLineHD So... after thorough testing it seems there is no proper gyroscope in this device. The compass is probably used to emulate some kind of 3-axis positioning. Although the phone *can* be useful for playing 360 videos on the screen, it is basically useless for VR headsets. The "gyroscope" is by far too laggy and imprecise. I bought the P Smart with the intention of using it (also) for VR development purposes, but it simply won't fit the bill in this regard. Speaking of which, I couldn't find a phone in this price range equipped with all the features I needed, including a gyroscope. So I'm not really mad, you get wht you pay for I guess. :D I'm actually quite pleased with the device, the screen is perfect, 4G is fast, performance is fine by me, and standby battery life is quite good too. In order to be a bit more comprehensive in the future reviews, may I suggest you do a quick VR test with Cardboard, for example. Huawei didn't advertise the gyroscope sensors but managed to emulate it for basic usages. Honor phones on the other hand don't have such an implementation, at least on the cheap ones I tried.

What about storage and RAM? What about a size comparison with another phone? Apart from that it is a very good review and helps a lot. I like this phone, the simple construction is a plus. At this price there is no water resistance but what about durability? Plastic top and bottom might be good for drops?

Hello, my name is Christos On the 28/4/2018 I bought a P Smart After some time I started noticing that it was bent at a angle. The phone was always in a protective case and was NEVER put in any pocket! I took it for it to be checked! The Greek service department informed me ( forgot to mention that the phone was working very well no problem at all) that it is out of warranty and they are charging me 150€ for repairs !! I am very disappointed about that and not acceptable from a company that has such quality phone to lose customers!

Norwegianization In my opinion honor 7a and this one are cheapest and both have 8cores and pretty good size displays, 3/32gb and 3000 battery. But also there are some others. Depends, even prices differ in different countries and not all models get to all countries. If you are from Norway like your nick suggests, maybe you dont need to pay horrible VAT tax that in EU we must, so you can order from AliExpress any phone for double less price than is their price in EU. Currently Doogee BL5000 fantastic phone, 5000 mAh battery, 8cores and all... around 90$ on Ali and I cant order it because with VAT and million stupid postal taxes here in my country, it would exceed its price in physichal store here. :(

I've had my p smart for 6 months and mainly use it for pubg mobile. My screen has hairline cracks all over, my power button is broken, the build leads it to be easily bendable even in a case, and my charging point doesn't work with usb OTG and the speakers broken with the vibrator. Notable times that have supported the breakages of my phone are having it run over by a car (no damage from that though), dropped multiple times onto concrete when it fell out of my pocket on my bike at moderate speed. Another bike related damage is when I was riding a jump line and my friend was pushing up the landing of that jump and I landed on quarry dirt onto it which caused around 85% of the cracks

I recommend this phone for its price point over most other phones. NB : chose this over the more expensive P20 Lite. You dont need 100 more resolution pixels and a notch to pay 50% more
