Very impressed with the Mate 20 Pro's camera upgrades. The Kirin 980 is also the fastest chip out there, but they need to better optimize some aspects like the multitasking. IP68 water resistance may have hurt the speaker quality on the Mate.

I don't think its the waterproofing but the integration of the speaker into the usb c port. It really reduces the loudness. Great speed test as always!

If RAM management was bad it would've closed games instead. The speaker difference is actually due to the EQ settings, the Mate is quieter with earphones as well. However speaker loudness depends on the song on some songs it's louder with more of a stereo effect on some songs it's quieter but the EQ is just generally quieter.

The difference is so negligible that there is no point of upgrading the phone from p20 pro to mate 20 pro. Just a few bells and whistles added with a new processor which probably performs 5 to 10% better. A very good review which will help a lot of people to decide before upgrading to Mate 20 pro from P20 pro.

The difference in sound is massive and thats because the P20 Pro has dedicated Speakers while the sound of the Mate comes out of the USB-C Jack. Camera-Quality is pretty much the same, aside from the ULTRAWIDE mode on the Mate. The notch on the P20 Pro provides space for 3 additional notifcations. The Mate 20 Pro has a slightly bigger screen, thanks to the inbuild Fingerprint-Sensor. Screen-Brightness on the Mate 20 Pro is better as well. Unless Gaming-Performance is really important, the P20 Pro is the better package, especially when it comes to performance per dollar.
