I have an S8 now I was so exited for the s10 because I knew it was going to be groundbreaking... but it wasn't. The only nice thing was the one ui but now I have it on my S8 so it would feel like buying an upgrade to my S8 but still the same. And that's the iPhone feeling. Same phone but better. And isn't this the most exiting thing about being Android??? What shall I get next? A oneplus? A huawei? A Pixel? I'm going to miss the one ui for sure, but I want to feel like I bought a new phone. i switched from a note 7 (yes i hacked it to stop it from being iced by samsung) to a ulefone power 5 performance is not quite as good, but the battery life is the best i have ever had (i only charge it twice a week on average, and thats with similar usage as in the video, but i also have personal hotspot enabled 24/7 and i still get 3-4 days of battery life)

For making this a better battery test, you can include standby battery drain. That is a more practical scenario and would help viewers much more in making the decision ( I have seen users reporting issues with standby performance of s10 for example). Im sure the battery will be even better on the S11 but ive just took my 8 month old S10+ off charge at 10pm last night, its currently 7.30pm tonight and ive had moderate/high usage including 3 hours watching episodes on samsung browser, 4 hours on KZbin and 4 1/2 hours on instagram facebook etc. I still have 47 percent battery left, this with the maximum resolution and only basic battery saving tips. truly great battery.

Why don't/didn't you run the S10 & S10+ on their native resolution? I know that 2280x1080 is the default it comes out the box, but I found icons to be blurry compared to my iPhone xs MAX: and the iPhone had a lower native resolution. Turns out the S10 uses 2280x1080 instead of it's native screen 3040x1440. The fact that its downclasing by 33.33% makes the rescale even worse as it has to interpolate unevenly. When I switched to its native 3040x1440 the blurs went away and the screen started to match the iPhone xs Max.

Just picked up a P30 Pro New Edition in Silver Frost (most gorgeous phone design and color combo I've seen, even including the new Note 20 Ultra in Bronze) and ran the battery until it died and what did I get? 7 hours 22 minutes... exactly your number! That's for 25 hours of use... pretty amazing! I still think this is the best mix of size, design, build, battery, cameras and software... and Google Services to boot!! Love your channel...

Also Samsung makes the Exynos and Huawei the Kirin, so to me that is a fair test, like -v- like. And also most Samsung fans use QHD, as they keep trolling videos of phones with FHD, so knock 1-2 hours off this result. It is amazing how this reviewer moans at Huawei for only having FHD, yet does not use QHD on the S10's! If we adjust with respect to QHD then the P30P would win this by a long way. Seen a couple of speed tests and the s10 variants get killed by the P30's, quite amazed, as the Kirin is now over 6 months old compared to the Exynos. Huawei has really stepped their game up, camera, performance, battery life, all class leading. The S10 is already looking old!

The reason for comparing the Snapdragon and Kirin is because the Snapdragon chip is a 7nm processor having greater power efficiency along with minute increase in overall performance. This isn't to say the Exynos version is conked out. It is tuned by Samsung and I'm sure it has things of it's own going for it. The Kirin and the Snapdragon both being 7nm chips hence becomes fair to compare. Next up, as a long time Samsung user, who has owned the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S10, I can confirm I don't go past FHD. The reason simply because I can't see much of a difference between FHD and QHD. I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to QHD than FHD but I generally put it in FHD to conserve battery and that his the sweet spot. I'm also mostly sure that FHD resolution is what most Samsung Galaxy S8/S9/S10 users prefer and they keep it that way. I've also seen a bunch of other reviewers just keeping the FHD resolution . (Source: Linus Tech Tips, Unbox Therapy) Henceforth, it's only fair to keep both the devices at the same resolution and then test it out. Also, it's about having the option to do that. Samsung lets you have QHD and power users can surely appreciate that along with people who want an amazing movie watching experience. Huawei doesn't. That's the difference. Also, Samsung can shoot 4K at 60FPS.

Daytime shots are arguable at best, each phone has it's own takes and advantages in certain conditions, zoom and nightime easily goes to Huawei, as you've mentioned. Portrait rendition and edge detection also goes to the P30 pro, although it does come down to preference as the P30 pro does give off that dramtaic shot with the darker blacks while the S10+ is the opposite with its brighter look, albeit a little flat overall look. If you've seen Tom's (The Tech Chap) comparison video, you'd know what I'm talking about. Selfies are overall better on the S10+, but not by a large difference considering it too isn't that great. That still goes to the Pixel 3. Edge detection for portrait selfies also goes to the S10+ due to that extra depth sensing lens, the P30's are honestly aweful. Video is where the S10+ is steps ahead of the P30, wether it be contrast, dynamic range, colors etc... however stabilization goes to the the P30, even with the super steady mode on the S10, as the combination of AIS+OIS on Huawei's side turned out to be a work of magic. Nightime videography, however, is where things get flipped, with the P30 producing the brighter shots without a considerable loss of detail and with a less grainy look, compared to the S10. Stabilization suffers on Huawei's side as it becomes a jiterry mess at night, the S10 does suffer from that as well but not nearly as much as the P30. Although let's be honest, none of use is gonna shoot videos at night with our phones. It isn't as simple as "zoom and night goes to P30 pro, everything else S10+", I do think the P30 does have a better camera overall, but I do not represent anybody when I say that, as it is merely my opinion, as it is the case with you with your statement, I just happen to disagree.

P30 Pro = 9,5 mAh/min P30 = 9,034 mAh/min XsMax = 8,87 mAh/min Xs = 8,36 mAh/min S10+ = 9,65 mAh/min S10 = 10,21 mAh/min So if the XsMax had a 4200mAh battery, and the Xs had a 3650mAh battery, they would have lasted much longer... At least the Exynos 9820 Galaxy battery life is not this good in real life based on my experience. My Mate 20 Pro lasts more than my Exynos Galaxy so don't trust Exynos variants. They are not optimized for games like PUBG and their battery sucks. Just buy them for video shooting and listening to music ny their speakers

Regular S10 battery life is just horrible considering the price you pay and relatively slow charging speeds compared to Huawei for example. Of course, that's Exynos chip, so yeah, but that what some of us would get. But like said in the video, Huawei suffers from many flaws, such as no 4K60 or even decent slow motions if that's something you like to do, and of course most people don't like EMUI too much. (I think it's fine) But, charging speed and battery life are the things I appreciate most after good price and I think Huawei offers a good package overall. Hopefully the new chip will fix some of the flaws mentioned.

The batteries wear over time regardless how you charge them. And when you start to see the wear after a few years, it's likely that you are already looking for a new phone anyway. Also it's the exynos (8nm ) vs kirin 980 (7nm) , 8nm is using more power than the 7nm, reason snapdragon variant beats out the exynos 9820. It takes longer for the transistors to reach its destination on a 8nm compared to a 7nm which means its using more power.

You're forgetting the screen resolution of these phones. The P30 Pro with 1080x2340 pixels and the Galaxy S10+ with 1440x3040 pixels. Brighter, higher resolution AMOLED screen means more battery power used.
