Really helpful, detailed, well shot and well edited. However, things can be a little more tricky than what's shown in the video. The battery, for example, is fixed to the frame by a very strong glue, so detaching it can be difficult. I ruined mine and had to replace it.

Thank you for the video! I'm having troubles with wifi and bluetooth signal (can't connect in distances which other devices do). When I put the phone next to the router it connects to it without any problems (but with low signal). But the strangest thing, is that when I put the phone in tethering mode, the other device sees it with full signal. Do you think it could have something to do with the antenna? Is there a way I could clean it or something? Thanks again!

+Key Scarpetta it's possible to replace the sim slot, but it is welding on the motherboard and it's very difficult to replace it by yourself,if you want to replace it you'd better ask for professional maintenance

Hi, It looks like the microphone is soldered onto the motherboard (near the cameras) 2:54. Does it mean you have to replace the wohle motherboard unit, in case of a faulty mic?

The signal circuit is planted on the motherboard. There is no signal antenna removable. It is likely to hurt the motherboard to replace the signal related parts.

you rooted it. jailbreak would be IOS. also. if its a hardware problem you might still have you warranty. at least in the EU the first 6 months the manufacturer has to prove that the fault is on your side(which it in this case wouldn't be). in the next 1 and a half years you'll have to prove that its not your fault (which usually never works anyway) but a root is unlikely to cause hardware issues. theres laws that the manufacturers have to follow too.

+wit rigs hello i have a huawei p8 lite it was dropped into water the first thing i did was turn it off and get the sim out i put in the rice for 3 days when i got it out of the rice i tried to turn in on it worked all was doing what it was supossed to do i turned it back off and left it in the rice 1 more night to be sure it was dry the next day i tried to turn it back on and i only got a grey screen sound and flashlight and camera still works any idea how i could solve the problem?

Why do you need to remove the battery? I don't see why it is neccesary. Can you explain please? I mean for the screen replacement

We need to heat up the screen and it is dangerous when this operation warms up the battery. Usually the heat gun temperature is over 200℃。

will it still work after being dropped in seawater 2 days ago, I tried to turn it off but the screen is somewhat untouchable plus nowhere in the manual shows how to open the back case, then it turned itself. I just learned how to opened it yesterday after seeing this vid, it still doesn't turn on tho.

I think so, coz it was completely submerged in water for a sec. I immediately sucked the holes on the phone to remove the water. And then burrowed it inside a rice container unable to open the back case. After 2 days I was able to remove the back case and I immediately poured denatured alcohol to unconcentrate the salt inside then placed it back into the rice container afterwards.

No, you can not. P8 lite's battery and P8's have the different connectors. They are not interchangeable.

The motherboard is basically what makes this phone this phone. Changing it changes everything. Internal storage is there, as well as your IMEI and everything that can make this phone unique. Yes, you will loose everything unless you store it in an SD card.

Many people complain about the signal receiving of Huawei P8 lite, but there is no replacement part for wi-fi device. Because the signal receiver is a little piece of metal installed on motherboard. Removing signal receiver will damage the motherboard.
