I've had the P9 for about a week now, and I have been blown away by the quality of the camera. The photos are great, especially at lower light levels, where most smartphone cameras fall flat on their arses. This thing can take photos indoors with poor light, at ISO3200 and they come out great! Plenty of details and colours. I've owned DSLR's from both Nikon and Canon who had FAR WORSE noise levels at that ISO speed!

+Green Minded Got mine about week as well. Depending on use of course it should last about full 2 days. Probably 3 if you only do messaging/calls and some browsing. Mine is down to 43% right now at noon of the second day. While the screen on time is ~3h45min since I unplugged it yesterday morning. It's such a great phone for such a great price... Price/performance ratio is through the roof on this one. #Huawei

+clouds5 same here. 2 full days on a charge. It's about 30% better than my Xiaomi Mi Note, which was in itself very good on battery life. Note that I am not a power user and I don't play games. So under heavy usage battery life will drop.

Green Minded That's a difficult question^^ I you're really into iOS and apple ecosystem it's probably not worth it. But if iOS is too basic for you and you finally want the freedom to set everything up the way you want and full google integration then it's great to switch to Android. Also if you feel like the 6s is a little too big, the P9 is definately useable with one hand only. So if this is an Android vs iOS question for you then I'm probably the wrong person to ask because I really don't like iOS - I think it's oversimplified in some and overcomplicated in other areas, at the same time. Android is always as easy or complicated as YOU want it to be. Android is all about how you want it, while iOS is all about how they want it. But that's a completely personal opinion, both systems are absolutely fine and usable.

Both camera work together, If one camera is covered, the image become noisy and less sharpen

Are the huawei shots in any way pixel-y? For example on the LGk12 camera you can see a hella lot of pixels within the pictures.

the front camera uses a sony IMX179 same one in a 28nzd V3 4k Wifi action camera i got of tomtop i read on some website back when i got the camera 3years ago that the ​sony IMX179 can only do 2.7k video at 30fps

I have both the P9 and S7. The P9 is decent but S7 has a way superior point and shoot camera that never disappoints. I guess I have to tweek a few settings for the P9 to get there.

I thought you would get into more details on the sample images but looks like you are comparing their image tone more than the image quality. Perhaps zooming in and actually compare their details, white balance performance and color reproduction would be a bit....more professional?

P9 colors looks great compared to the latest iPhone - but no DxoMark mobile rating for P9 yet. Seems over the top to have an extra camera for B&W since you can post-process color for B&W with more flexibility than a pure B&W. Also too bad about the lack of OIS *and* low-light performance of the P9. BUT - still an interesting candidate purely based on color and overall image quality under good light.

While I agree that sharpness is simply better on P9 and on many pictures colors are better too, the dynamic range of P9 camera is definetely way worse. While iPhone catches a more blurry but solid picture, P9 just darkens every shadow and burns every light area. And the greens seem very dark too. This is unfortunately true for absolute most of the Android phones, there's little space for a good image lover to switch from iPhone.

I have both iPhone 6s, LG V10 and P9 Plus. iPhone is the best at 4K video and day light video, V10 is good at both day and night video, Finally, P9 Plus is good at photo. I have so many phone because I want the best of both world :)

Invest to a gimbal for P9, and OIS is solved in video mode. I bought a tripod and tried some shots in evening. I wet my pants, p9 takes amazing photos 😁
