Yeah I'm looking to get rid of Windows OS but Android is the best OS for phones. I don't see anything beating it for me.

@@peanut0brain I suspect the average Chinese avoids them as much as possible. Too much peeping over the shoulder. As for Windows, according to Microsoft my PC doesn't qualify for Win11. Windows is already being junked. I don't intend on spending thousands just to please a brain dead organisation.

@@peanut0brain Yes, via GBox, a virtual environment supplying some Google proprietary things, and allows downloading apps directly from Google Play

@@bertiesworldstill believing in such bullshit in 2024? US tech companies and governments violate privacy and security much worse than chinese as a matter of fact. Companies like meta are not even trying to hide that they're selling your private details to any buyers.

Replacing google android in mobile devices in China is ongoing using alternatives like Hongmeng is possible but PC based MS is a big challenge. Open sourced Linux only operates on enterprises based systems n retail use is limited
