what tape are u using. is it just standard Double sided tape?

Hello RSelectro, At 5:54 you are putting on tape. Is it one kind of tape? Is it double-sided? At 8:50 you remove the tape. Or are you just removing the cover of double-sided tape?

Hikari Yuuki Looks like he is applying and removing a tape that leaves enough stickyness for the screen to stay in place. I ended up using instant adhesive, which might not allow me to get the screen off again, or will leave a very hard-to-remove residue if I replace the screen again.

I have a huawey Y300 and touch works in layers and sent it several times under warranty, but I did not have the problem solved. Unfortunately now it is no longer under warranty, what should I do? Change the display ?? Please help me

Chris Miner There are tools out there I just have no idea what their called or their size. Might ask one of those mobile vendors that do fixes if OP doesn't reply . I'm guessing all y300's have these types of screws. I'll let you know if I find out.

jedutam lmao - I felt like that a few times with this phone!! But not everyone has that kinda money - I used this as my first decent smartphone, when I was completely skint and couldn't afford a contract, etc (and a noob to android). As long as you don't go app crazy it's fine, although you do have to wedge the SD in to stop the phone from losing connection every hour or so - which at least gives you some extra space. I think it would run better after installing stock android as the Huawei's own software is a complete joke - disable anything unessential and it makes a massive difference to speed. You get what you pay for I suppose, its cheap for that reason. Have a sony z3 now - hurrah! Have you had one you've been threatening regularly with a hammer too then?? :)
