i love jrotc and its a really awesome program i am a staff sergeant at the time of post. i was just wondering if your jrotc also contains a lot of favoritism. by favoritism i mean if you are not friends with your company commander they will lower you grade and not promote you. i am a living example of this. if it was not for me switching company last year i would of gotten a c at the end of the year even though my uniform and motivation was the same if not more then the people in my company. but because they always talk about video games with my cc and first sergeant they got promoted and higher grade. also my A.T's son and girl friend are battalion and company commander. sorry if i sound negative i am just taking a general pole from youtube

No, our JROTC program is not a favoritism based kind of program. You get what you earn and earn what you deserve! Also we do not choose the ranks of others our SAI (Senior Army Instructor) and the other fellow Army instructors decide our ranks and our grades. Whatever company we get we get and we have to deal with who ever we have it's all about having to work together and put your differences aside! At the end of the day we are one entire unit and we do not have to play the favoritism card. Also, Hubbard has a regiment of six company's and almost more then 300 cadets.

Electricwarlock24 I always had As and B.s. in Rotc came to ranking and postion they played fav u basically had to be friends with the commander officers I wasn't all that cool with them that's why I couldn't get all the way staff my dedication was there.

Probably because the program is run by the Navy. Or more likely its a matter of who is the majority staff at the local MEPS (military enlistment processing station) for continuity sake. A MEPS station is not run by just 1 branch of service but by any from all branches. Although if an area heavily recruits to one branch more than another that MEPS could become staff heavy in that branch. Such as in Ohio which typically each year has a higher USMC enlistment than any other branch.

This program is NOT run by the navy. It depends on your high school. Hubbard high school is run by the army.

When I was in Bartlett high school in Anchorage, AK in 1974, I was always in Junior ROTC and I was also then a member of the Young Communist League!!!

I wish they have this at etiwanda high school my sister (class of 2005) said they have it but me (future class of 2021) when I ask students who go they don't know what i'm talking about

+Old glory you get points deducted from your final score which is based on your uniform ( Badges, stars, ribbons, name tag, no hair fly - aways, shaved face, hair cut correct, the cap has the ranking in the correct position, shoes are shined, etc. ) I do believe it is -5 points per question left unanswered or wrong.
