I enjoy Frank's talks and news before the speaker; an acquired taste. ;-)

I have questions about dark energy Dark energy is pushing the universe towards expansion The first question is How fast is cosmic expansion? The question is about galaxies How far will these groups go within an hour of global expansion? The second question is Is there a change in the speed of this cosmic expansion? The third question is About the thermal residues of the big explosion ((Radiation of the cosmic background at the ends of the universe)) Question 3 Does this radiation give us measurements of the speed of the universe? I want a number about the speed of dark energy At the beginning of the Big Bang that created the universe The fourth question is If the speed of the dark energy is variable Will this change explain what happened before the Big Bang? We hope the centers of space research to develop monitoring and measurement devices Please send my four questions to space scientists

Jeez, people. Learn any other language and then give a scientific talk in that language. You know you can't do it, so why hate on someone who can? Especially a language as hard as English. Just read some of the comments and you realize that native speakers can't write a grammatically correct simple declarative sentence. She is doing a great job here. It seems we picked up a religious comment. Quoting a religious book that condones rape and slavery doesn't prove anything. Well, I like to quote the Bible, too, Luke 14:26 is your god/sun/son talking. Any god/sun/son that tells me to hate my Mother can just stick it. In case you missed it, at 22:00 Giordano Bruno was burnt at the stake in Rome on February 17, 1600 by the Church. Burning alive is not a pleasant way to die. Why religions have to kill people to defend their faith is beyond me. Bruno thought and taught that the Universe is basically what our understanding of the Universe is today.

7:10 At least we all know now that there are not martians living on the far side of the moon since we now have a sun-lit picture showing the surface.

They wouldn't be Martians anyhow, they'd be Mooninites. The last time they were seen, they caused panic in the streets of Boston.

Good talk, but her accent is so hard to understand. It's virtually impossible to absorb all the information while trying to unravel her pronunciation.

Try slowing down the audio/video.....this works pretty well when the speaker has an accent that is difficult to understand when their natural speaking tempo is too fast. Slow this one to .75. It's a little choppy but it helps

yes Buddha! SVA = Speakers Very Annoying. slow and rambling or fast and flitting everywhere, they tell you what they are going to tell you, often never get close, often wander off elsewhere, seldom return to the subject at hand or talk about something else entirely; usually A: themselves, their colleagues, their papers B: potted history of astronomy and astronomers with the same tired old anecdotes - oh I could go on, what did you say? Info-Lite.
