I was a regular listener to "Thanks for the Memory" and this is a fabulous reminder of the kind of programme that I loved. In fact, I used to spent hours listening to much of the BBC's output but, unfortunately, I can no longer relate to our national radio corporation. I guess that they have left me behind. Thank you for creating/posting this video.

Thank you very much for this, it brings back great memories for me, I would tune in ever week on an old valve radio and listen to it with my wife. The only bit we weren't too keen on was when Hubert sang a song himself.

Brings back some lovely memories..as a teenager developing a love for swing and dance band music in India in the nineties these programmes used to be a lifeline..the BBC had such stalwarts in presenters in those days..today it's a sad mockery of a broadcaster. A big thanks to you for posting these links to a vanished era

Thanks for this upload, I was an avid listener to Hubert Gregg every week. I even got a mention once ! If I remember right I was spoken of as a 'Younger' listener at the time. I wrote in to him , also Alan Dell and Malcolm Laycock. I feel we have lost a great deal from live Radio today, as I commented recently on one of your other uploads. The BBC today offers nothing of interest to me. Best wishes Brian

Radio 2 was my favourite radio station for years and years. I can't remember when I last bothered to tune in.

The BBC always had great presenters. I used to listen to BBC World Service on shortwave starting nearly 60 years ago.
