Thanks! We are having a blast too! I think we can actually make it to the end! We will certainly try our best!

Great video. Close call, but a well executed retreat. If it is any consolation, I have had a few of my honour runs ended by this encounter. It is a tough fight and the paralysis, fear, high AC, & teleporation are a lethal combination. One tactic that might have turned the tides was to use a smokepowder bomb instead of the alchemical fire. Smokepowder does fair damage (d4+9 force, 1/2 on a dex save). I would also suggest that you invest in AOE scrolls (fireball is a classic) for future conflicts. I eagerly await your entertaining exploits. Good luck Cheers

Thanks, agree! I feel like it should have said they can teleport and paralyse when we examined them… Yeah, smokepowder would have been nice, but we have very limited supply of those, so we need to be careful. Glad I listened to Linus and ran!

When the Sneak Attack is offered to you it clearly states who it is you're applying it to :-) You often tend to assume to know things that you really don't, like Meenlock being affected by light shouldn't reflect on their bar (which it does). Best advise is don't assume, check when you can, otherwise just settle on 'I don't know' :-)) The fight was winnable, but unlikely for you specifically. Honestly, I know how I would go about winning it starting your last turn, but I would have taken an exit instead. This fight can be mean, I've done it solo a few times, never died, was close once, but the only time I did it blindly was my first playthrough when I had full party with LOTS of light on me - meenlocks were mostly helpless. I'm not sure where this gung ho attitude comes from, either you're roleplaying a tadpole messing up Findon's judgement or it is your own poor judgement, you'll have to tone it down or even drop it altogether if you want the run to continue. Maybe Findon will have an epiphany or something :-) Almost every fight in Act 2 can kill you if you play stupidly, two fights can kill you regardless of how you play, so there are ample opportunity to lose this run, no need to add to it :-)) You are very hard to kill at this point, so you probably can survive much more than you think, but if you keep giving enemies chances, they'll take them eventually.

Good stuff! Findon doesn’t like being scared of like that. Sometimes you gotta stand your ground. I thought we could win this at the time, but I’m pretty sure Linus was correct in calling a retreat after we found out they could teleport and paralyze… I think this was the toughest fight / enemy we faced so far. I think it’s a challenge even with a trio of characters…

@immersioneer Depends on your party composition when going in blindly and absolutely trivial fight even solo when you know what's what. If you have Radiating Orb cleric or just a lot of light in your party, you'll just blast through this fight :-)) Protection from Good and Evil will prevent paralysis, but of course you need to keep concentration. Better ways are to shut them off with some disable or kite.

@immersioneer It's not a tough fight, you've just approached it poorly from the onset :-) Those things will happen in a blind playthrough, it's hard to treat every fight as deadly dangerous after all :-)

I must say that I am surprised that after the battle at Last Light, the normal lighting kicks back in. 20:20 Yes Jaheira can be an additional companion. With just the 2 of you, you needed to use the wall of fire or stone or an AOE like Sleet Storm, otherwise yes you could be TPKd.

That’s cool! I thought there was just Halsin and Minthara! Hope there are even more, but don’t tell me!

@@immersioneer There are, but you are killing them off as fast as you find them!

Good episode! I envy you! I would like to play blind again 😅

Yeah, I know! I’m glad I waited to find someone to play through BG3 in coop! I also like how being two halflings suits our play style of bumbling about and getting into various trouble :))

The willingness with which Linus accepts death is a bit funny. The game makes resurrection very commonplace, but in the in-game universe it's actually a huge deal and rarely happens.

Yeah, we don’t intend to overuse that mechanic, but we’ll use it if we have to.
