Unique. Other worldly. Other dimensional. Deeply mystical. Deep waters. Deep elsewhere. Magical transporting to dreamy inner/outer landscapes and mindscapes. Very uncommonly comforting, strengthening, and heroically inspiring. Wide-ranging emotional connections. A truly majestic musical accomplishment. Congratulations.

So far ive listened to 3 albums and this is the best one ive heard, but all are amazing regardless, rating the 3 albums is like trying to pick 3 of your favorite dishes, all are great but one stands out the most.

This is life, breath, this is in a class of it's own, there's not many words to describe this, you just listen and feel it flow thru your veins, it is beyond music, the next level , beyond creative, stimulates the unknown seams in our minds. Most Excellent !

Re-listening to warm up for the concert in Bangalore. Tunes are so evocative, really digs a crater, spiraling with a sense of nostalgia. Apollo and Satyre are my favourites from the album. The trumpet? in Satyre sounded brilliant, only the second band I know to employ the instrument family into their music. Drumming bridge in Apollo is amazing, highly experimental, difficult to catch those beats but sound extremely melodic. Can't wait to see those two live. Aves is a fitting, mellow end to the album, love the piano centric end.

I find post rock bands are ether two mellow, or to hard , but you guys nailed it, perfection in every song.

I immerse myself in these universes, but none hit like this. Shows in caves or in crowded stadiums, to crowds of just one or two. Hubris has breadth like a Falcons wings because they are not owl silent. Use your third ear like we claim our third eye to hear the essence of the human experience. The ethereal labyrinth we dare to call a soul. And feel them. Let your body move so strange my friends. It is only strange because you are unique and probably listening to this alone. Invite a friend or two, and make them like Hubris. If your friends dont like it, you can still like it. As you read this you know you already liked it. Even if it was Years ago. Feel free to revisit this group. They are so good. I'm the new one here, not you.

Guys, did you study something about History of Religions? Cause album's titles seems very connected to.. (for example "Ka" is a term of egyptian religion that means vital force) I'm very interested to know more about your composition (conceptually speaking, unfortunately i'm not a musician)
@hubrisband8 жыл бұрын
+riccardo vallarano Hi Riccardo ! Thank you for your comment. I, one of the guitar player, studied history and Greek mythology indeed. The album is based on Zeus' metamorphosis, most of the time in order to seduce women other than his wife Hera. There is a great deal of sensuality in our compositions which reflects Zeus' kindness towards his "targets", yet as well as manipulation to obtain exactly what he seeks, hence the metamorphosis. As for "Kå", since you mentioned it, it represents different things. First of all, it symbolically represents Kukulkan, the snake god for the Mayas and thus referring to one of Zeus' metamorphosis (as a snake) to get Persephone (Hades' wife) in order to reach the underworld upon which Hades had full control. Secondly and as you said correctly it is one of the body parts of a human soul, that is the vital essence, hence the somewhat "Egyptian" sounding in the music. The vital force emerges from the body at the very end of the song, leaving a dead body behind to become "Akh", that is the afterlife soul that will long to the morning or daylight and its new life.

This is really awesome guys! very impressive for a first release, i cant wait to see how your style develops on future releases. On the first listen this album drew me in, and i listened from start to finish. My favorite tune on this album is between Satyre and Gold Drizzle cant quite choose. After listening, your music brought me just as much enjoyment as when i first heard some of my favorite artists, Explosions in the Sky, Mono, and Do Make Say Think (you should totally check that last band out if you haven't already, so unique) also I would love to know how long you guys have been playing together before you released "Emersion" ??

Hi there Jacob, Thank you for your kind words, it made us mirthful. When we released the album, we had only been playing the four of us together for 6 months. The composition process however started a few months earlier. We will be releasing an album around the end of this year and we are looking forward to showing you guys how our music and atmosphere evolved. Love, hubris.
