I completely agree about like streak goals. People take it far too seriously, and I'd much prefer them to be more fun or silly, rather than just ever-escalating victory laps or omega runs. (Perhaps custom challenge modes could be fun) Really looking forward to Alt Path Pills!

I totally agree that likestreak goals shouldnt be ascending in difficulty and should be just a fun little "event," even if not completely huge. I think something that could be a fun idea would be something like a "hear me out challenge" where you do some things differently that you dont usually do, like going for angel rooms or picking up items you dont usually take (with the exception of game losing potential ones like tmtrainer or damocles on low security runs).

It could be that losing the Holy Mantle was never intended, but that a bug could cause it to be lost along with other items at the start of a re-run. And if it was unintended, they probably fixed that bug since then.

Day 51 of guessing what happens in the episode: Sin's hubris finally catches up with him. He says "We literally cannot lose this run" and taps the sac room down to 1 heart to teleport to lamb. Lamb hits him with an errant shot. The streak dies.

A fun but simple like streak goal could be to revisit seeds you've explored a very long time ago, like maybe you're first ever repentance seed or things like that, if seeds haven't been affected by repentance + Or just something as simple as doing 1st alt path not necessarily to go to mother but just going through alt path if the Ressources permit it, and then continue the normal run at mom. Etc. Some simpler alternatives like that. Even if I know why you don't do it, just doing an Angel Deal run would be fun as well. Simple changes from the usual!

DUNK RATING Happy Wednesday Moshpit, hope your week is going well. Hubris is overwwening pride, often the downfall of characters in Greek tragedies- let's see if that holds true today. Start Stats are in the meh-okay range, nothing exciting, nothing devastating. Vade Retro is...clunky I think is the best way to describe it. Jacob's Ladder can be a straight carry item though. Floor 1 Keeper's Sack in the shop is great early on. The boss pops out range & we go down. Floor 2 A radnom crawlspace gives us a little damage boost with Charm of the Vampire, the red hearts to use the heal probably aren't staying around. We decline Lard in the Item Room, but we get Sythnoil from the Boss & The PAct from Stanley to make it a very profiftable floor over all. Cracked orb in the Curse room is a consolation prize from the Curse Room when what we wanted was a key.Lacking the key- no shop. Floor 3 We grab Sharp Key from the Shop for a nice damage up & a bit of movement speed. Also 5 keys, The Item Room finally comes up golden with Deadeye & we get Tropicamide from the boss. Not an exciting floor, but still solid. Floor 4 Vade Retro has been good so far- but Shoop is just better. Stem Cells is a good pickup fromt he boss as we trade if for Cambion conception. An eternal heart from the boss is also barely keeping us above water. Floor 5 Shop having Pandora's Box is huge- more damage & movement + 4 soul hearts. We are now outside pucker range. Roid Rage from the boss gives us the movement speed we need & away we go. Floor 6 Item room is en route, so we grab a Linger Bean. Squeezing it out to make Boss Rush- we snag Super Bandage. We finally find the Planetarium & get Venus. With 3 red hearts & a Queen of Hearts, we hit the Sac Room Shuffle netting Trinity Shield, Twisted Pair, & 7 Soul Hearts. No picture taken, but we tap to TP to Lamb. Dark Chest Curse of the Blind, woo. We take 2 Blind Items (ho boy) & get Incubus & Death's Touch. Risky as it puts as at 3 hearts, but those are good upgrades. Venus decides to get weird with Monstro & we get rung up badly. 1 HP in the Chest is a bad feeling. We pucker our way through the Lamb fight, but we make it. Final Verdict: 6/10. The run was actually pretty strong, but HP was in tight spaces more than a few times & I don't think anyone wasn't sweating in that Lamb fight.

day 1481 of watching Sinvicta to sleep + day 481 of asking for a tainted bethany run today i am not doing very well. my grandpa passed away due to a medical failure on the hospital's part. we are going to rush to their city so we can sort out everything. we weren't really close, but seeing my dad feel so down hurts a lot. thank you sin for the daily vids, it helps me take my mind off of things so i can rest without being so anxious. hoping everyone else has a good day.

LIKE streak goal theme week idea, unsure if it's possible but remove external information mod and shuffle all item sprites, it'll be the equivalent of the new player experience, you get an item with no info on what it does before hand, because I remember my first time playing Isaac and I didn't know to look up the items before taking them and relied on trial and error. A week of being a day one new to the game.

Concerning the victory laps, you did some of them with R key yeah? I don’t think those count as victory laps in the eyes of the game, so they didn’t count towards the games victory lap counter. Whether R key runs count as legitimate victory laps bc you got to the end of the run before using it is up for debate, it could’ve been ruled out and victory lap effects stack or it can be kept in and the full effects of victory laps are lost.
