I already have five batteries for my Zino 2. If I can't use them in the Zino 2+, should my current rig fail, there's no way I'd opt for buying that over looking for another used Zino 2.

@@justinduncan2480 My problem is with Hubsan support and alot of let say iffy you tube reviews about the Zinos. I bought my zino 2 + because it does one thing that I haven't seen any other quadcopter do and this is 2 different types of active track. Optical and the GPS on both the phone and the zino. The skydio has the beacon then again it the best tracking and avoid drone that I know of, but it is also thousand buck. I've only flown my zino 2 + for 7 minutes. and it sure did drift alot I did all the calibration. My mavic air 2 is rock solid. turning is very precise, I've had to deal with DJI support they were great. I hope hubsan get there battery issue resolve because these intelligent battery run there number of recharge cycle will all be sitting with zino that can't fly. Thanks

Please excuse my ignorance in disappearing at 2:47 mark, but I had to go and cancel an order I put in, this morning, for a new 2+, and thank you so much for stopping me from wasting the 3 or 4(if I find my Z2) batteries I have. I was using the upgrade excuse to save traipsing around a wheat stubble paddock looking for my Z2, now thinking I best put a pair of boots on.

@@QCGUY Due to Hubsan playing this game, I'd be looking seriously at a Fimi this time around if I didn't have to throw away so many dollars to do it. I did return, immediately after cancelling the order, and I am old enough to have seen that scene first time around, and enjoyed it just as much this time.

Spot on!!! I bought the Zino 2 plus came with one battery. I though hey I'll get another one. On Hubsan web site I went to the Zino 2 plus then to parts there was the battery there I order that and another set of props. I get the props and a battery look the same, different color on the decal differ but same milliamp and voltage. Went though everything you described motor will not arm. Contacted Hubsan support they confirm that, that was a zino 2 battery and would not work in the zino 2 plus. They now say that the battery was never on the zino 2 plus web page and that I order the the zino 2 basically they're are not willing to do anything for me. There full of crap I was on the right page, I went back to the order page and now it is no longer there, I look on the zino 2 parts and there is no battery listed there either. I believe there was a mistake and they corrected there web site, as of 12-28-2020 they have no battery. I own a Mavic air 2 you pay a little more, but the customer support I got from them was great. Anyone want to buy a new zino 2 battery? Good job informing us drone user Chris I'll be watching your channel alot. Thanks

Sounds like typical Hubsan stuff. It’s so much easier to resolve these things and keep the customer happy but they waste your time and play games instead. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

I just bought the DJI Osmo action can't wait to try it out. Customer support can go a long way. I got the Mavic Air 2 this summer I accidently crash it into a pond and was able to retrieve it 2 hour later (sub drone don't work well after, but good under water video) it was my fault turn off the obstacle sensor to get a close shot and made the wrong input to the controller. I did have the DJI refresh care I contacted DJI support they were able to take my case send in the quad copter the reply was I could either pay 585.00 to repair or use 1 of my care refresh and 69.00 replacement cost. Anyone will pick the best choice they sent me a brand new Mavic Air 2 all within 10 day. There customer service I found to be outstanding and repair, replace to be fast. I will never hesitate to buy a DJI product. What will Hubsan owner due if there are no more batteries available they have a limited recharge cycle then they do not work. It will then be a Hubsan paper weight. Good luck owning a Hubsan in my opion.

Good comparison Chriss , but actually Hubsan has gone crazy with these batteries.. The Gifi 4200mAh battery is best for the zino especially on older firmware and older app where the battery meter isn’t screwed up.

Interesting to see inside the Zino 2 plus battery and see what they have fitted to enable the quad to recognise it. Is it really a microchip or something much simpler that can be retrofitted to the other batteries?

It’s a small board attached directly to the cells. I didn’t go any further into it just yet. The original doesn’t have that so that’s what the quad is detecting. If I had more batteries I would go further into it.

does the original zino1 and zino2+ uses same app right ? i am on firmware 1.1.52 in zino1. will it fly fine with gifi battery with correct battery meter using the latest xhubsan app?

The latest app is part of the problem in my opinion. It will use the Gifi and they use separate apps.

The FAA just said that remote ID is a thing. Do you know how this issue will be addressed with Zino line? (meaning has Hubsan stated at any point how they'll address it considering this has been in the talking phase for quite some time)

I’m very eager to see how Hubsan will address it and scared of how they will address it at the same time. It will be interesting to say the least but for what we currently have there needs to be a grandfather clause to remain in effect.

@@QCGUY So 3 years later after they've actually started rolling RID functions out Hubsan apparently solved the issue by not being a drone manufacturer anymore. Do you know of any apps that will work with the Zino 2 other than Hubsan's app? A few months ago it started being very buggy and now it simply doesn't work. I either don't get video feed, or no connection, or it won't launch at all. I really love the performance of the Zino 2 and would hate to ditch it for something else now, especially knowing that my budget is going to limit me to an inferior drone.

I have a Zino and a Zino 2+. I don't have zino 2 batteries, so it is not that annoying, but zino 2+ batteries are still more expensive. As you have said, it would be better to spend more fixing problems, but... Do you know which is the version that doesn't give problems of the app X-hubsan2? (In the Xhubsan1 the 1.8.2 is OK). And which versions of firmware don't give problems in both Zino and Zino2+? Thank you

Many go back to 1.8.2 and older firmware. For the zino I still say 1.1.52 is best. For 2+ being so new there’s really nothing to go back to that would make any positive effect.

Did you know that the zino2+ uses a different battery because it you don’t fly your zino2+ for ten days out of operation the battery will automatically turn on the self-discharge mode to protect the battery. I am a new owner and read this in manual.

One of my zino 2 plus battery only lasted for 10/15 min from the start. Hubsan never replaced the battery. Now you can only get them for more than 150€... More than regretting having bought it instead of the Xiaomi.

I am now convinced that Hubsan is in the business of making their users go absolutely INSANE! I just upgraded to the latest firmware on the Zino 2 so I could take advantage of the new camera settings. VERY BAD IDEA!. After completing the update none of my SD cards work! I am using the Sandisk Extreme and the Sandisk Extreme Pro. BOTH cards are U3 high-speed as recommended, but the Zino does not recognize them as high-speed U3 cards. Any suggestions? NEVER EVER will I purchase another Hubsan product!

Format the card on your pc in fat 32 not through the app. Sometimes the app will format it as exfat and it won’t work.

So that's why Andy made him carry his bullets in his pocket! Think either the aftermarket or Hubsan would ever decide to get Zino 2 or 2+ owners a different camera/gimbal since they're fairly easy to remove. Would be nice to have a better lens on the camera. Also, for your knowledge, it's spelled swapping, unless you did that title misspelled intentionally.

Chris, have you done a range test for Zino 2+...if so what do you "think" (😉) the max range is for the Zino 2+. I think it claims 9K but I was curious if that claim was at all realistic. Also what is the longest flight time you've gotten with the Zino 2+.

It’s too cold for a range test and flight times are affected there too. I’m not posting anything on those till it’s fair enough to be accurate.

Yes the Zino 2 will take either one. Only the 2 plus is limited to the blue label battery.

It would have been more acceptable if they made it a different battery all together. This was a clear FU buy more batteries block in my opinion. I’m glad FIMI at least understood this in making the X8 SE 2020 version.

And with the news of what I call my drone stimulus check tell me what to get 600$ I am in Love with the best bang for the buck meaning when I tell it to come Home it comes to me not a 10th of a mile away being picked up and take by this lady with 2,two teeth! I personally would recommend the FIMI X8 SE over any Zino. They have got it dialed in pretty good and after my next few videos on the X8 I may never update it again because I’m liking it.

Im disappointed with Zino 2 Plus why with the same battery zino 2 can not use in zino 2 plus, but zino 2 can use battery zino 2 plus OMG !!!!! Hubsan FOOLING & whatever very hard buy zino 2 plus battery, sucks Hubsan !!!!!
