I wouldn't register it, definitely not as a motorcycle. You'll need to get insurance (and inspections) and a motorcycle endorsement if you don't have it. It'll also make it so you can't ride it on those bike lanes/trails. I'd see if you could get a class 2 ebike sticker and as long as you keep it at 20 on trails no one should really care on trails. Also, i highly doubt that the brakes are up to spec for normal traffic speed/use on the road.

I also agree, don't be so eager to follow the complete letter of the law or the law will surely take away your fun, go for class 2. I insured my Super73 RX with State Farm and in my area they did not know what a Ebike was and wanted VIN numbers, CC rating, after explaining it was a class 2 Ebike they went and did some looking on their own and gave me an ok monthly premium, but if I had to explain the speed based rating it would have been a mess and a lot more money. So only give out true info but only the basis that's all the government needs to know.

6:55 seems like a large voltage drop for lvl1 even with some boost for 10 miles. I have 0.55kWh on my EV-cargo bike, with throttle only I can go 17miles at around 20mph. Just as comparison.

These batteries are actually pretty cheap the discharge on them are not good at all🤦🏽‍♂️ I don’t know about the new updated batteries though I haven’t gotten to test them

Registered mine in NY Easily BUT I got it from a dealer and it was registered and insured right there and not as a moped. A MOTORCYCLE!! Everywhere I go with this thing someone wants to know what the heck it is. Maybe I’ll travel out to you one day and we huck stuff up

i think yur confused on how "re-gen braking" works on an e-bike....when the throttle is dis-engaged...the motor gives resistance which simulates braking... which in turn charges yur battery...lolol... its all good brutha... yur learnin

My bikes regen actually works like this......Inside the direct drive motor, copper windings are powered by the battery to drive an outer ring of magnets that spin the wheel, which puts the power in your pedal. When either the front or rear brake levers are squeezed (like when coming to a stop or riding downhill), a signal is sent to the motor controller, which changes the motor into a generator, quickly converting some of the momentum of the bike into electricity to charge the battery. Using the direct drive motor as a generator returns some of the energy (that would otherwise be lost) into the battery. This added battery charge extends your riding range...🤘🏾⚡️🤘🏾⚡️

The pedals do offer a little resistance but your legs aren’t stretched out enough to be comfortable pedaling

Never stop and ask cops what they think, don't draw attention to yourself or others....You really should never talk to cops at all....Much safer to just drive fast on roads where traffic is driving fast...Cops can use whatever you say against you and it's impossible to know their motives...You should look at some videos on youtube, on the subject from lawyers and police, who say, don't talk to cops....When your a good person, we tend to think others are good people too, but that's not the case, unfortunately....I don't really understand getting an electric bike if your gonna register it and pay insurance, you could get a gas machine for the same price that is 100 times better in almost every metric....The best part of electric bikes, is staying out of the money leeching system...But, maybe I'm missing something, I don't know...Awesome bike...

So it wouldn't be a very good purchase over a 2k 28mph plus bike which you could get away with riding around.

Sorry bro I don’t have an answer for you... I know there are Enduro bikes on the road that are pretty much the same as a dirtbike they have turning signals and mirrors.... my guess is if two strokes are allowed on the road you have to get turning signals and mirrors and also have a Vin number🤘🏾⚡️🤘🏾

I’ve subscribed 🤙🏼 I was looking pretty seriously at the Super 73 RX but now thinking I’m going to try and go for the Huck instead, hoping I can skirt the gray area alright. Just curious on a couple things not sure if you’ve answered already. What handle bar option did you opt for? Are those the “low rise”? The option pricing is kinda off on the Huck site, it says +$50 for the “low rise” but then when in your cart it shows as +$75. Also they are out of the standard blinkers so you have to choose a different option. The other round ones say +$40 but then in cart show as +$30. Kinda screwy, but whatev. Also when I applied your promo code at checkout (on a trial run to figure out my total order) it only took off $150.15. From $5355 with shipping down to $5204.85. A weird number but thought I’d give you a heads up so maybe they can correct it to the $200 before I order mine. Anyways, thanks for all you do. ok first you go get a birth certificate and social security card then you need two pieces of mail with your current address on it , then you have to take the eye test to see if they think that you see well enough to ride on the street.. 🙄 and this is all before you even have an ID... After you do all that then you can get started.... 😂 Yeah I don't jump through hoops for people or DMVs

Road to DMV was cringeful. Those are the kind I avoid, but this Huck has the speed to traverse these. For safety sake, you should speed up and go traffic speed, which this bike can do. I don't think you should be sacrificing your safety by riding slower to maintain some appearance of legality. Huck is illegal on roads and bike trails (in most if not all states), but I think most riders count on the apathy of law enforcement, and general lack of knowledge about ebike laws and ebike model specifications. In case of an accident, your liability could increase due to illegal acts, but that is same for Super73 which is also illegal on roads and trails, just less obvious, and supposedly in a legal loophole when operated in specific modes. I am guessing that registering the Huck may be impossible in most jurisdictions. Sounds like maybe you could register the Super73 as a moped and then you would be legal while riding on street in certain restricted modes, though still illegal on bike trails. Ultimately it all seems so ridiculous and restrictive, but here we are! It will be interesting to see how laws will be clarified, changed, and updated in the next decade as lawmakers react to PEV products and culture. Kudos to you for trying to register your Huck, Shreddie! Keep up the Huckin' great work and ride safe!
