Thank you for this. I loved Reagan, was a child when he was governor of California, it was a great state then. Under President Carter my dad just about lost his trucking business, it was so sad to see my parents, suffer with the bad policies Carter made with high gas prices, gas shortages 22% mortgage rates, and more. I voted for Reagan twice and saw the results of Reagan’s policies. The economic turn around allowed Dad to rebuild and expand his business and my brother still runs it. Reagan’s economy went on for nearly 25 years, until Obama. Will never vote for a Democrat. Trump 2024!🇺🇸

The writing and directing was incredible! I also loved the part John Voigt played. A true legend, indeed. The movie is compelling because Ronald Reagan era resembles so much of what we are facing today with the Socialist/Marxist/Communism ideologies infiltrating our very government. Donald Trump is the Reagan of the 80’s and you can’t help but wonder, will we be as fortunate to have Reagan’s spirit live among us once again to save our nation. I was very moved. I just saw the movie yesterday, and it was the most moving film I've ever seen. It absolutely captures and superbly retells the story of a pivotal era, a once-in-a-Millenium president and the equally amazing woman with whom he shared a depthless love. The 1980's were a golden time, though fraught with turmoil due to the ongoing "Cold War" between the USA and the USSR, and President Reagan took the reins of power at a time when nuclear war could have broken out at any moment. As someone who was lucky enough to live during that time, I can tell you that this film really does bring back all of the emotion and atmosphere of those days, and I unashamedly left the theatre with tears in my eyes and a deep sense of pride for the greatest president in my lifetime. Of course, the critics are all pettily snarking about the film's almost mythical approach to President Reagan's life and times, but please don't let them keep you from seeing a movie that will leave you feeling proud of this amazing country and her 40th president.
