Hudson Bay - By train to Churchill Manitoba

A look at Hudson bay railway in 1996, the 2nd to last year of operation by Canadian National. Watch a CN GMD1 switching the Pas. A via rail F40PH adding TOFC cars to the train at Thompson. Its all go at Churchill with two CN trains switching as well as Via Rail.

I guess it is not economic to have a switcher used only 3 day’s a week when the road power is available.
