👍👍. You are welcome. Thanks for letting me try it out. I don’t think many people will use it outdoors, but always good to let people know.

It would be nice to be green lazer as well even cheap diodes in green shoot much further kill 2 birds one stone. I wish you offered some level of discount as well I found 4 other brands almost identical and your the most expensive by far. You got several if ous curious enough to almost buy it maybe some did but a 20% or more code would have pushed us over the edge. I appreciate direct responses from the importer/brand if more took the time to do so they would be rolling in customers more so.

Never heard of Huepar before, looks like they do a load of laser level equipment available on Amazon.

I did buy one of their laser mounts several years ago because I liked all the adjustments on it, but I’ve never bought/used any of their lasers. Several people in the other brand laser videos I have mentioned them to me. Before I was sent the other ones, lasers were something I didn’t trust buying “off brand”… but all the ones I’ve tried have been really accurate.

Which buttons put it into calibration mode. Does Cal procedure have it on all 4 sides?
@MORGANSMaintenance3 ай бұрын
@@mikebloodworth9258 manual says… With the AG2L turned off, press the Button with Laser 1/2 and the Power/Hold Button to enter calibration Short Press the Laser 1/2 button and Cal 1 will blink. Then change to Cal 2 Flip the level over so the bottom in now on top Short Press the Level 1/2 Button, and Cal 2 will blink, then change to active angle display It’s on page 15-16 of your manual

I would assume it calibrates all four sides because as you flip it, it’s all based off the same zero

how accurate is the laser relative to the body of the angle finder? i mean if you mount the body of the angle finder against the straight line and then measure the laser against a known straight line moving away from the angle finder, how much does it deviate from the straight line per meter?
@MORGANSMaintenance6 ай бұрын
@@rvborgh 1/25th of an inch per 3.3 feet is what their specs say. I will have to go out and check it at some point when I have time on my workbench or something straight, along with something that’s dead level. Either one of those would change your measurements between the two. My guess is the laser is as accurate for “level” and “plumb” at a distance that’s equal to a level you can hold on your hands, but then it’s also allows you to get good accuracy on lengths farther away that you can’t reach with a level. Similar to any other laser level. If I have time one day I will see if I can check it like what you are saying

@@MORGANSMaintenance Thanks for the detailed answer. I've bought two of these types of laser angle finders - both with lasers exiting both sides. i've made a fixture to measure the offset. Both of them are good for about 1-3mm at 1.7 meters. However, one of the (the R&D one) angles the lasers inwards :( i suspect that the difficulty in calibrating the lasers to be colinear might be why Huepar didn't bother with lasers on both sides. 1/25 of an inch over 3.3 ft is about 0.058 degrees of accuracy. That is about 1/3 the accuracy of most of Huepar's laser levels.
@rvborgh5 ай бұрын
@@MORGANSMaintenance Just for giggles i bought this laser level and tested it on my test rig. At 1.65 meters i get no measurable divergence of the beam from 90 degrees. It goes dead on even down the middle of the rail. This is with the body of the laser contacting a backing that is 90 degrees off the rail. One caveat. It is only accurate in this way if you use the bottom and back sides. Not the other sides. You must use the side opposite the laser. i also compared it with my more expensive Huepar 4 plane laser level and it is pretty much spot on there too.

@@rvborgh thanks for the info.. it will help for if others ask similar questions… I will just point them your direction 😂
@rvborgh5 ай бұрын
@@MORGANSMaintenance i wish i could post photos of the laser on the rig here :( Anyways, it is dead on accurate. i was rather impressed. There is another angle finder with two lasers that i bought that is close. It is the ArshTool. That one was right on for one beam and about 1mm off on the other at 1.65 meters. So 0.034 degrees divergence for one of the lasers.

Thata the trap I avoid myself doing stuff that's less than desirable. Variety is the spice of life and do what you love as much as you can. I get about 5 to 10 toilets abs clogged drains a week I turn down alot of that work for a reason. My mind is already in the toilet without doing 3 replacements a day.

The lack of magnets on the sides is a big flaw.
@MORGANSMaintenance8 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree. You can zero it while on its side to make your magnet stick to the saw blade with the correct degrees, but then you have to pay attention to the side you zero it on.

@@MORGANSMaintenance Too many of those products are reminding me of all the multi-purpose gadgets from TV-shops. And they're as flashy. What I've learnt is the more purposeful/one-function a tool is, the better it works.
@MORGANSMaintenance8 ай бұрын
@@Stefan_Kawalec agree.. that is generally the case. That’s why my one angle finder will stay on my table saw. That’s all it’s supposed to do. I will use this more for the lasers than anything else

I've used that brand lazer level before no better or worse than random az brand one. This may be a buy if firecore or a reputable brand dosent have it cheaper for rhe same product rebrand. It's nice e to have the lazer line I'm thinking in a small package. It's too bad you didn't get a discount code.

Good for you! I don't know if you know about toolguyd stuey he has extreme ethics on these things almost project farm level. It's been that way for him for almost 20 years for toolguyd. I’m mostly going to use this for hanging towel bars and stuff. It will be easier I think for me to use it one handed with a pencil than a level to mark stuff out. That’s my plan anyways, We will see over time. I have other tools I am used to using for the other things mentioned. Improvements I would make… Would have like to see it as green. Would like to see the vertical and horizontal beams to be located in such a way that they met in a corner (hit two edges of a picture) If there was a way for it to suck to the wall, it would be really, really, nice Then it would also probably cost $150 😂

@@MORGANSMaintenance I think the biggest miss is not having the magnets on the sides. Their lasers are great and nobody has a better laser tripod than they do. I also have their receiver. I have a 2 or 3 line laser and for some reason I needed a 4 line that's how I ended up with 2 kits. I checked their prices and it looks like they went way up also. #FJB
