I’m a pregnant black woman, who’s sister passed during birth, this video has me in tears. I don’t want to worry myself but this is so real. I’m in search of a black doula but none of them are getting back to me. It’s upsetting me Bc I’m so determined to have a black doula, but now I’m just reaching out to any doula bc I have to have that support. 🤷🏽♀️😢

I wanted a doula when I had my son but healthcare don't cover it. Tbh on utube there is plenty of doula channels for free! I would love to be a doula they don't make much but looks like such a rewarding job . I also wanna apply for surrogacy. Good luck future mommies:)

Fantastic piece- I celebrate doulas; extraordinary and necessary support persons for pregnant, birthing and postpartum women. We need to increase accessibility and affordability.

Most doula’s don't do it for the money. That's why birth statistically goes better with doulas. Hospital/doctors don't care about labor they are desensitized

You really will make anything and everything about race. "Black maternal health"? What the hell is that and how is it different from any other race's maternal health? Of course, if people in this fake doulas "profession" were to prioritize white women, you'd call it racist.

Black women have dispropotionately higher rates of maternal and fetal complications including unequal treatment by hospital staff based on current studies.
