I used to cuddle my twin brother all the time. Like he'd be watching tv and id come in the living and just lay my head on a pillow in his lap and we would chill like that or he would lay on me. A hug is how we say hi/bye in my immediate family. Almost everybody else gets a wave, fist bump, verbal "hi/bye", or nothing. We're also all grown so we don't live together. For the guys that got very aggressive, that was weird to me. If I hugged my older brother when we were smaller he would have definitely thought something was wrong and his focus would be on how to fix it. I'm 39 and to this day he still refers to me as his baby sister.
