my singles didn't start getting used until I bought a small magnetic palette and would curate a palette each month. I'd say about 4-9 shades at a time helps them not be so overwhelming.

Yup! I do the same. I have 3 GIANT cases filled with single shadows. Every month I fill 2 smaller palettes with single shadows in curated palettes for colors and I looks I want to create.

Hi, I like to use my singles to dupe new release palettes. It lets me know if I like the colour combinations and usually stops me over purchasing new release palettes. I also use my singles to match my outfit of the day. I might use one or two with a palette I’m using (hope this makes sense). Also I like to put together colour combinations with my singles...so create my own self-made palette. I use a medium z-palette for this. Cheers. P.S. I’m the complete opposite. I only have palettes made from singles. I have limited space and each time I look at a premade palette it has the same transition and neutral colors. I use the extra space for more funky unique colors.

I really only have one palette of single shadows. I think they are all Colourpop and there's 24 of them. Every basic I might need - transition, outer corner etc - plus some really fun ones that I love. I keep it on my vanity and I use it to complement other palettes that might be missing something to make the look I want.

Angelica Nykvist used to do a quad each month where she created a quad out of 4 singles, recommended dupes and did several looks with it. This is how I use my singles. I find that very often with new palettes everyone does looks based on only a handful of the shades so I dupe those shades with my singles and copy the looks.

This is the first video of yours I’ve ever seen so I’m not sure if you already do this but a good way to get use out of eyeshadows is to do a “pan those eyeshadows” challenge! You basically enter all of your eyeshadows into a google slide and randomly pick as many as you want to work on. You could enter all of your shadows or just your singles so you use them more often. You try to hit pan and then you can roll in another eyeshadow once you do or you can just try to work on the eyeshadows for a month and move on each update.

As far as singles go, I like to put mine into curated collections whenever I travel, so I use mine in that way. Or you could keep a palette of singles on your desk/in your every day drawer to make sure you are using them often!

Great video! Love collection/declutter vids 😍 I decluttered all of my singles and kept only the ones that ‘sparked joy’ 😁 So, I treat the ones that I kept as a palette. I’m doing one month, one palette this year, so I incorporated that franken-palette into the project. I also have single loose pigments. I just use those as complementary shades to any palette I use during a month. When I get bored of using just one palette, I throw in a fun duo chrome or bold pigment 😊

I am having a hard time using the hasina2 I don’t know how to do my eyeshadow that well, I feel silly wearing such bright colors. I can’t figure out how to put on fake lashes or do winged eyeliner. I’m having trouble with my blue moon pallet as well. Just found an awesome one called bondi by klara cosmetics . It sort of looks like the green brown pallet by Natasha denona

You're so easy to listen to... As for the Emily Edit palette, MUR is actually super rich and creamy and blendable, and I find the Emily palette aligns with her makeup style more! My other MUR palettes are so different.

Has anyone else noticed that the Too Faced palettes stop working after a while. I noticed the Semi Sweet stopped performing well so I gave it away. The Bon Bons also seems to be dull. And now I’m noticing the Chocolate Gold, the metallics seem a bit dry & flaky. They used to be so creamy & foiled but now it’s like they’ve dried out. They’re still workable but I think I’m gonna give it to my aunt. P.S. I’m still holding on to the Naked 2 because I wore it on my wedding day but I’m thinking of throwing it away. I finally got rid of the original Naked because I bought two brand new ones when they went on sale. It was my first palette & I had good memories attached to it. I still really like it so I’m glad I bought a new one.

I try to dupe new palettes I want with my singles. I've noticed I use my singles more when I do that, plus it helps me see whether I really need that new palette in my collection. P.S. Monica is my mom's favorite name, and she would have named me Monica if my dad hadn't of picked Adriana. :)

I think the best way to actually use your singles is first- have no more than one palette. Too many that are half full don’t do you much good. So, figure out your absolute favorites, and create one palette. Second, make sure you choose cohesive colors that make sense together, so when you look at the palette, you can think of at least 3 looks you can create. Then when you actually pull it out, you will want to use it instead of feeling like it is a mash up of tons of random shadows.

I haven't seen anyone throw Subculture since the initial wave of hate when it came out. For me it's a favourite and definitely my favourite ABH palette. I think it depends on your style/preferences.

I do a shop my stash every week, and keep the eyeshadow palettes I picked for the week on my vanity. That way they're always in front of me and at my reach. I've included my Z palettes in my shop my stashes, it helps me to use my singles more. My Naked 1 is pretty old and I still use it, formula is still good.

I think you could get more use out of your singles if you put some of the together to create a smaller palette that's perfect for you. It could be your every day palette or your weekend palette or a basic neutral palette to combine with other palettes etc. I think the fact that your singles are in large palettes and don't have any specific colour story makes you not reach for them that much.

In my honest opinion, when you talk about influencers you don’t wanna buy from, it’s sound like high school drama. Plus, I would recommend that when you start a declutter video, with influencers you don’t buy from you should say, “I wanna say before I begin there is some pallets by people I don’t support anymore, because of things that have come up, in which I don’t agree with 100%.” Also, don’t mention which brands, because usually big influencers will speak out about people starting out and say things that will keep people away from your channel. Amazing job decluttering. Barely an makeup gurus ever hit pan!
