So much to say here. Did you try trying on them shoes, now that would be hilarious. I got the feeling you wanted to take a dip in that pool. LMAO 😆😆😆 loved the end when you went into the mirror and “What is nahhhh not doing that?” I lost it. Great work again JH. Big hugs from Alberta.

James, Really enjoyed this vacant Holiday Inn explore👍🏻. There was so much to see here that I just don’t think that you could get it all in one video but you certainly did do a very good job of trying to get as much of the hotel as you could in one video👍🏻. You would definitely have to know your way around this place so that you don’t get lost. It looks like there is STILL A LOT to remove from this Holiday Inn before the building gets demolished for good. Thanks for taking us on a tour of this “STATIC SPACE” and see you in the next one✌🏻,

It was a huge location for sure. For the most part i found it fairly easy to navigate, mostly because it was fairly long and narrow. I think they likely got rid of most of the stuff before it was demolished. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!!

Awesome tour of this closed hotel. I'm sure it was beautiful in it's prime, it's still pretty nice looking. Another good explore

Oh yes, it was well kept and only closed when it was bought for redevelopment. Glad you enjoyed the video!!

I worked at this hotel for 2 years before it closed. I worked in the Atrium area and it was my first job right outta high school. It was a lot of fun, the staff there were super friendly, Covid definitely took its toll during its final moments, the hotel was absolutely empty. I remember I was told the hotel was going to shut down within 5 years when i first got the job. But because covid came outta nowhere I think management decided to pull the plug early. I love looking at videos of the place just to tell friends some crazy stories that happened when I did work there. Thanks for making this video.

Oh cool and the atrium would have been a great place to hang out for a few hours a day and get paid of it. 😆 Sure was a nice d'hôtel though with great reviews and that atrium was amazing!! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!!

I have to say the best part of this video was the mechanical rooms. I love all that industrial kind of stuff. Too bad this building Has to go. Looks like it was a pretty busy place and it's time. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.👍
@StaticSpaces2 жыл бұрын
I usually rush through the mechanical rooms if i film them at all because I don't think most people find them interesting. But i will try to spend a bit more time during the next explore. I have no doubt it was a really busy hotel, it had really good reviews, i bet the one that replaces it won't be nearly as good. Thanks for the comment!!

The place looks great! It must have been highly mismanaged! I’m REALLY surprised you didn’t run into any squatters!
@StaticSpaces2 жыл бұрын
Ya, it was a fun one. It didn't close because it wasn't doing well, it had excellent reviews. I think was more because we need housing, it was a good location for high density and the land value is high. They probably sold the property for a pretty penny! Thanks for the comment!!

Hi James... Uh oh, here comes a long comment! First things first, I remember staying in this hotel years ago. It was fantastic to see this walkthrough, especially as it's no longer there. Was lovely to have the heat on, lights on, and elevators working. Secondly, I wish to say how much I enjoy your channel and your vids. I understand the enormous amount of work that goes into these, and I like your style of fairly seamless filming. I used to watch a lot of Urban Explorer channels, especially the European ones. But frankly, I found they became boring after a while. A little too sensationalized maybe. Now I follow your channel and Brent's channel, and that's about it. Turns out I'm far more interested in local, or semi local, explores. It's always a treat when one of these pops up, and I set aside time to really take it in. I've started watching them on the TV because I get a bigger picture and can catch a lot of the details that you don't see with the tablet. This is a thank you...for your time, your energy, and your dedication to this craft. It's much appreciated, and I felt I should share these thoughts with you! Cheers, my friend! Stay well. Stay safe. That's great that you have stayed at that hotel before, lucky you! I really appreciate your kind words and am honored that you watch my videos. It's people like you that allow me to continue to do this, thank you!! Brent is a good guy and i think he makes some great videos, much better than my own! I know what you mean about sensationalizing a location and i try to stay away from that myself. And i totally get what you mean about preferring to see local locations.

Hi James 👋 What another cool place to explored 😁 I’m enjoying this as well 😍Thank you for the tour of the place too 🤩Very huge place 😎I’m surprise this place isn’t vandalized by idiots 😳 Have a wonderful day and night 😋

It didn't have time to be vandalised, the demolition process started pretty much as soon as the hotel closed. Thanks for the comment!!

I don't doubt you had your hands full telling people not to do stupid things. 😂 I suspected it may have been a salt water pool, must have been much nicer than a regular pool!!

@@StaticSpaces It's just because our greedy government wants more money
@StaticSpaces2 жыл бұрын
Well that's part of it but the real problem is that the area is just growing way too fast. From what I have read, our birth rate is below the threshold to grow our population. The government's plan to combat this is to grow it by immigration so in essence the housing shortage is a manufactured problem.
