Thank you for the video. I love watching colouring suplies haul very much. Everyone who has this type of sharpener, after you insert the pencil, you have to turn the handle towards yourself first until it clicks, then start to sharpen as usial. This way you will shave off just the right amount, and the sharpener will automatically stop sharpening when the pencil has the right point. Hopefully it helps.
@MyColourfulCountryLife24 күн бұрын
Thank you. Yeah, as I said in the video it's my favourite sharpener and gets the perfect point. The plastic parts breaking was my only issue with it 😁
@artsy_endo24 күн бұрын
Oh, I never heard of turning it the opposite way first so I never did it and yes, sometimes it will stop sharpening on its own but other times I have to take the pencil otherwise it would keep sharpening it forever. I will definitely try this, I love this sharpener and it would be wonderful if it would always stop sharpening on is own. Thank you so much for the tip!!
@brittanydaniels110218 күн бұрын
@@artsy_endoI never have any issues with this hand cranked pencil sharpener stoping for me after it sharpens my colored pencils to the set point I have already set on the back of this hand cracked pencil sharpener.
@artsy_endo18 күн бұрын
@@brittanydaniels1102 That's good! Unfortunately I cannot say the same.. I still love it and if it brakes or something I will get another one. But it doesn't always stops to sharpen as it should, after almost 2 years using it I have a feel for when to stop but still wish it would always stop on it's own.. I'm glad that yours is working flawlessly, that is awesome!! 😉

Thanks, Karen!

OMG yes. when I first saw this it irked me that I wouldn't be able to get it. here in the UK. ( I think it was on happy catastrophe s channel). Just think how many colourists in UK Europe and dear old Oz would buy it in a heartbeat. I'm sure if the colouring community all emailed and bombarded their customer support they would realise how loved these books are. I have noticed how the US always have earlier release dates. Its a shame that US products are marginalised the rest of the world Lovely haul. I don't have tonbows, but a similar white label brand. Will try your tip, I would have never thought of that, so thank you so much. Mine were just cheap brand pencils, not expensive, but it was still very frustrating. Thanks again.
@MyColourfulCountryLife21 күн бұрын
You're very welcome ❤️ It could also be your sharpener, if you make sure it's clean and the blades aren't dull first. If that's all good, then it's likely your pencils. If they sharpen well from the other end, then you'll know it's your pencils and not your sharpener also 😁

I was excited about this book Mythographic until I ordered it from Walmart they didn't have it in stock at my local Walmart. All the hidden objects muck up the beautiful picture. You said there is a way to cover them but I am having a terrible time with my new Gelly Roll pens they don't seem to want to work I can't get the ink to come out, I have never had this issue before. If you do get a petition started for the book let me know I will sign it.

Karen…what is the difference between gouache and acrylic paints? Of course talking about using them in our coloring books.
@MyColourfulCountryLife21 күн бұрын
Hi Shelley! 😊 Great question! The main difference is that gouache can be reactivated with water, making it easy to blend and soften. Acrylic, on the other hand, once dry, it’s a bit more durable on the page and won’t smudge or move around. Both work well, gouache is better for blending, while acrylic gives a sealed, opaque finish. Hope that helps! 💖

hey sweets! i have most of the Mythograohics and almost all of the images in the vault are older (hence the hidden objects and reference to being “from the vault”) but unpublished! i cant believe its not available worldwide. That one is from Joseph’s Labyrinth so would be a good choice for color along. i love haul videos so a fan of this one!!! HUGS❤

What a wonderful haul. Especially the watercolours- they are beautiful! A little tip- when doing the swatches, do a graded wash, as it allows you to see the full range of the paints appearance ( dark to light as of course it’s nice to use the paint transparent often and not just full strength). I know it’s a small box but it’s still kind of possible( maybe), and making swatches on a bigger chart may be helpful ( as you know!). Just thought I would mention it as I noticed you swatch the same way with other watercolours too. The graded swatches really are helpful for referencing & seeing how dilute you want the paint to be for certain uses & effects etc☺️
