The theme you seem to be trying for is more Miami 80s than just 80s. Thanks in part to the popularity of Miami Vice, The Golden Girls, and Empty Nest….all three set in Miami, pastels, white, glass blocks, shiny brass, and the quintessential palm leaves, were very trendy…..with those on the coast. The rest of us lived in homes more like Mama’s Family, The Cosby Show, Who’s The Boss, 227, etc., lots of mid-tone wood, florals, with the occasional here or there flat tube brass & clear glass table or shelf. If you’re finding more the latter, than pastels, watch / fast forward through Miami Vice, circa 1980s, episodes, or just search clips from the show. You may find loads of inspiration. ❤

I am sick of people giving you hate in the comments, but I know it comes with the territory. I just want to remind you that you are not a bad person for doing what makes sense for you.
