I’m 99% sure the fuel system on the Rogue 351G2 is the same as our toy hauler. Only ONE 30 gal fuel cell for both the generator and fuel station. The metal cover is for the nozzle and hose and the plastic cover is for the fuel level and pump switch. Only one filler neck = one fuel tank.
@scroob723 жыл бұрын
If you ever buy an RV, my best suggestion is to buy one in the SW portion of the US. Minimal snow, rain and MOST importantly salt as lot sitting could have an impact on your coach. Even ambient road salt in the moist air can have an impact over time. Especially RV dealers next to the highway. The rusted frame and bolts on this unit made me cringe as a "new" RV. We just bought a 28.6 Sandstorm 5th wheel by Forest River in So Cal and our underneath looks like you could eat off and gives me confidence. Rust around non reinforced weld spots especially in the suspension area scare me. Now don't get me wrong, you can remedy this, but work with your local welder if your options are limited. Shop smart, PDI the heck out of your investment and don't get sucked into a buyers remorse situation. Wood, appliances and staple marks are a cheap fix, the foundation of a unit, not so much.

I've heard you talk about the garages in toy haulers being too long. I'm not sure how versed you are in the powersport market but the smaller 2-seat sxs units are a min 10ft, and many are 11 or more. A 4 seat are gonna be 13 ft or more - you want a foot or so fore/aft to get around them for tying down. Traditional ATV's are still around but the lion share of people buying these are gonna be sxs users.

“Why don’t they run the wires neater”? Your answer of course makes sense. But if they used an automotive style loom that would speed production even more because now your installing something the same way every time and its going to be more reliable and easier to service in the long term. Plus look at all that wasted space behind that flap. Space that could be put to good use if things were cleaned up.

I think the location of that exhaust pipe for the generator, is an extremely BAD place to put it! Having the exhaust pipe under the overhang, could cause CO to accumulate. They could’ve spent a little more and moved the pipe to the side. Plus road wash could cause premature rust.

The thing is JD most modern side by sides weight in excess of 2000 lbs by themselves once you put a couple accessories on them. These you haulers with less than 4000 lbs of cargo capacity quickly get overloaded with water and a toy

The sewer dumps being under the slide would be a royal pain. I don’t understand putting the thermostat in the living area when the ac is in the toy section. The very shallow tv area would make adding a Blu-ray player or satellite receiver challenging. Do those doors have any insulation? Doesn’t seem like it from the video. Like the new frame on the front that allows for a different kingpin
@terryhaynes15963 жыл бұрын
@@Itsa_Mea i should have observed where the dump handles are. If the handles are easy to get too, and you connect and disconnect the hoses when the slides are in, it isn’t a problem. But if you have to use a dump tote it would be frustrating crawling under the slides. As JD says, there are pros and cons to every model.

Im sorry JD, but that rats nest of wiring needs to be cleaned up. These RV manufactures are more worried about getting the units out the door then doing a job right. You wouldnt be happy is Ford this that kind of job on a $100k truck, why would it be acceptable in a $100k RV? Lets not even talk about the rust on these rvs. They need better coatings on the frames, suspension, etc. No way would i buy a unit with it looking like that. If the manufactures slowed down just a little and let their employees have time to properly run those wires, lines, hoses then im sure a lot of their warranty work would go away. Ive been looking to upgrade my current RV and im not very pleased with whats out there on the market due to them being rushed out the door. This is also the price range im shopping as well.

you will have at least 3500 of that 17500 gvwr on the pin, that's how they get away with it, but I'm sure with full fuel, water and a side by side in the back it will be over axle capacity
@garrettprice94113 жыл бұрын
@@superjoe83 Makes sense, but I agree it will be over the axle capacity. At a minimum, axle capacity should always equal the GVWR rating. Manufacturers always cutting corners...
@stevewhitsett77443 жыл бұрын
@@garrettprice9411 Not true. Finding a 5th wheel that meets that criteria would be very rare. It is standard practice to expect a portion of the GVWR to be carried by the “5th wheel” ie the truck. It may seem strange to you.... but it is the norm... and frankly there is nothing wrong with it. The Axles carry their share of the load, the Truck carries its share. A properly loaded and balanced trailer needs to be set up this way. The GVWR is set based on these principles.
@alandillon64693 жыл бұрын
I agree it's sketchy as hell if you are maximum out the capacity every time you tow, plus it has garbage suspension on top of that. I'd probably be ok with just a motorcycle back there, but would still need upgraded shackles. It needs 8k axles if only two!
