hi!! i posted my q&a but wanted to answer your question anyway :) i wish i knew how consuming the dental/medical field is. i think for a lot of careers, you can do your job and leave your job at work. but with medical professions, you have to really be interested in what you’re doing and invested in the knowledge you must possess, or it will end up being somewhat unfulfilling. i was under the impression that helping people and making their quality of life better would be the main motivator for me, but as you burnout, it doesn’t outweigh the responsibilities and difficulties you face. so just make sure, its both that you want to help ppl and you love the field of medicine
