Beavers don’t eat fish… they are supposed to be herbivores… 🤔 Mr. beaver is innocent of this crime.

@@sayhi2johnythey are, but it wouldn't surprise me if one ate some protein that they find just laying there. Deer eat baby birds out of nests, cows will eat snakes, and squirrels also eat baby birds and smaller rodents. In another conme t they said they think it was an otter that stole the fish though.

I've had muskrats build in my shanty. I left one day. Came back 3 days later and the whole inside was full of greenery. It took almost 2 hours to clean everything out. A beaver no. Stay safe out there. 🎣

On lake Winnebago back in the day during sturgeon spearing season two fisherman were shocked when out of nowhere a black lab swam up their hole and into their shack. The dog had seen something in the water from another shack and jumped in after it and got turned around 😂

I’ve caught huge beavers pushing 50lbs by grabbing the by the base of their tails and walking backwards keeping the front feet on the ground so they can’t reach around and bite you. Similar to handle large snapping turtles😜

Some lakes the fish do get scared of the sight hole. It was a mink or otter that took our fish.

I’ve always put them on the ice shavings from drilling the holes and they are always perfect, but I have seen guys put them outside there shack and the sun bakes them in the sun ! I think that is a lot of people’s mistake.. good luck !
