Very brave of You to expose Yourself to a ground level attack. Especially since when he attacks, he puts his all into it to rip through jeans! OUCH But You were correct; he perceived You as less of a threat. Good chicken Mama. Those white grrls were SO much more funny & curious that the others. Made me laugh out loud a couple times!! Also the barred feathers on the brown grrrl were gorgeous!! I can see those being used for all kinds of artistic things! Ladies hats & fascinators!! Do You save any of the feathers & make beautiful things?? In Your 'spare' time when You are not being an amazing Mum to all Your fur & feathered babies & 2 legged family! The white hens are always really nosey and want to know what I'm up to 😂 No I don't really save their feathers. But I have budgies as well, I save their feathers when they moult as they are really pretty colours and I use them for crafting with my daughter.
