Surge will be really good after the changes. His super can jump through walls which is insane. His 1st gadget is really good. His 2nd gadget is pretty good, it can reload 3 ammos when the shield is gone.

Surge can't no longer teleport now which is really sad but 2 new gadgets for surge is super op to use. 1 gadget can recharge his ammo and other one can max his level🤩🤩🤩

Its going to be good like jumping walls is a good advantage cus if u are fighting a dynamike he will just use his attacks on u when u use ur super but now its better to just move from attacks i like it

I like the new Surge reworks. Surge's super having more use cases by letting him jump into controllable places can definitely be good. Surge's new 1st Gadget is a good go-to option since 10 seconds of immediate upgrades lets Surge combat better, and makes his 1st Star Power actually viable since instant upgrades can help Surge utilize the split. Surge's 2nd Gadget is mostly useful un 1v1 cases. The instant reload after shielding damage can help Surge take down Brawlers better

Surge was always so predictable with the old teleport, with the rework and two new gadgets, surge will definitely be more viable in 3v3 and not just showdown

The spike nerf is literally a buff because you gain the health from it faster, so when a close range brawler like edgar/darryl supers you, you gain health faster

I used to have fun using teleport gadget of Surge, sad to see it changed. But I'm still glad it kind of "downgraded" into a weaker version. Because you can now jump over obstacles using Super which is helpful in situations. I say it's a fair rework, at least it still feels the old times

i got a question.If an opponent uses vision gear and he hits leon when he is invisible,would the vision gear work and help you to "see" leon for a longer period of time

I can see why the teleport was removed, it was either used to get that stage 2 upgrade easily or use the gadget+super combo. But now it can be done with the new gadget and the built in super function respectively

Thats the kind of gadget Meg needs! The healing one is great but meh, since its boring. I love unique and different gadgets on the legendary/chromatic, is that not why they are unique? And Meg is an inventor, she should only have gadgets and star powers benefitting her team if you ask me. Like the new chromatic, it could be a jetpack upgrade, maybe a grappling arm to get Meg closer. But everything only in Mecha form ofc.

For me the nerf of spike can sometimes help spike, for exemple against sandy he put the gadget at the first shot and instead to be 3 shots the gadget heals spike and he isn’t 3 shots and he can just run in his direction

The second gadget of surge is just op, it's like colt gadget but better, 80% shield AND reload 3 ammo, colt is just 2 ammo and no shield

Surge now: can now jump far up to 2 tiles 1st gadget instant upgrade for 10s 2nd gadget is colt's 1st gadget+ fang's 1st sp Removed tp gadget was and still op since he could bait Shelly, Edgar, Primo, Frank, Tara and almost all brawlers by tp into them then jump, as they get scared and distracted they will use their gadgets and supers to avoid the near death, but sadly for them, you will be right above them as they are struggling to survive

About that Surge rework, I just cannot understand why the removed the first gadget man, it was just insane. And also I could accept that gadget remove if the new gadgets could be better. In my opinion those two gadgets are nothing next to the old Surge gadget. The new gadgets are just defensive. I think the first gadget could be something like Surge's super was breaking walls or something.

I don't really understand the people that is not sure about the Surge rework, I mean, as a Surge main I can't find anything bad about it, the tp gadget was fun yea that's true... But it really gets boring and predictable both to play with and against. The new super allows Surge to use the same tactics as with the gadget, plus, now dealing that extra damage of the landing that (I don't see anybody mentioning this) now also have a bigger explosion radius, IS LIKE EL PRIMO'S SUPER BUT RECHARGES IN THREE HITS, TWO IF YOU LAND OVER AT LEAST ONE ENEMY, are you crazy? I can't stop imagining the possibilties of the new Surge both in showdown and 3v3, chaining jumps over the map. The new gadgets seem to be not only as usefull as it was the tp, but also more fun to play with (idk if against). The instant 2 levels are just a great tool to start a match and quickly get some levels, it could also make the fist SP more usefull now that you can instantly get the speed and range, even if it is "only" for 10 seconds (10 seconds are more that it seems). And the second one could be totally broken in certain matchups. Surge deals a lot of damage very fast, it's only real weakness is the reload speed, after you shoot three times if you weren't able to finish the enemy brawler, and he/her has a little more range, ammo, or reload speed, you are basically dead, but if you can get back your entire ammo , in fact, even if it only was 1 or 2 ammo, oh boy, you will even delete tanks out of existence. Did I already mention that you will also be able to chain supers in close-mid range a lot quicker both for the movement and the extra explosion radius?

Hmm, I don’t think you’re seeing the full picture, maybe because you weren’t always a surge main. As a surge main og, I can definitely find tweeting opportunities that don’t tip the balance of the game but also give surgy (that’s what we affectionately call the character) a fighting chance.

About the other things Idk, I played him for a lot of time and was my first brawler to be mxed out (before gears introduced another 2 levels...) but like I said, yeah, the tp may bring you some opportunities, but it was quickly boring... Plus, a character that totally depends in a single abilty (a limited to three uses only in this case) in order to be just a little decent or viable in some maps/gamemodes, is just not a balanced not a great character.

New Meg gadget is good if you respawn and you play like Tick or Piper. New Amber gadget has no uses. New Surge 1st gadget is universally broken and Surge 2nd gadget has limited uses. Jacky new gadget great in overtime brawl ball or if your goal wall gets destroyed
