HUGE Chapter 4 ARG Update + BIG Lore Reveals...

My theory is that Elliot Ludwig and the Prototype are similar not in the way they may be the same person, but they both started out with good intentions that eventually became rotten. Elliot created Playtime Co to bring smiles to children around the world, and likely created Poppy and as a way to save his dying daughter. Which then led to the Bigger body experiments being made to cut company cost's and turn children into toys to be used as labor. And all of it being against their will. The Prototype attempted to help the toys and orphans of the factory by organizing the Hour of Joy, a full scale rebellion against the employees who kept the toys locked up to free them all. However it ended up with the Prototype lying to the toys about freedom and establishing a dog eat dog system where the toys hunt each other down for food, and using toys like Catnap to kill and torture anyone who is against his rule. Starting to see a pattern?

I remember the time we were trying to figure out the order of the words. I said "those shifts seem awfully close to each other, maybe it's a clue"? 2 minutes later (around an hour after the video was uploaded) they tried ordering them using the shifts and it turned out to be correct. I never knew that a stupid idea of mine actually turned out to be the correct answer. For people who are a little confused: I am one of the people who helped solve the arg, in fact my own message documenting how to solve the arg was pinned by the devs in the discord lol. (I still can't believe that).

I just want to point something out about the security logs and their numbers. '0125' and '0126' Look at the last two digits of the sets of numbers and look at the dates of both recap videos so far. Chapter 1's recap came out on the 25th of July. Chapter 2's recap came out on the 26th of August. The next security log will most likely be '0127', which means that chapter 3's recap could possibly be coming out on the 27th of September. Which is a Friday. I don't know if I'm right but this is a fun little detail I've noticed and I haven't seen anyone talk about it.

I think it might be 'sleep draws ever near, over paths turning clear.On felted feet and with bated breath, but I am not afraid of death' as it seems like a poem This next part is a bit of a stretch of a theory: The 'sleep draws ever near' line might be be literal as when we diverted the red gas, it went through pipes going throughout playcare and going lower in the factory. The line 'over paths turning clear' could be both metaphorical and literal ,meaning the paths(factory) we are clearing the history of and destroying any obstacle blocking the path. 'On felted feet and with bated breath' is personification ,talking about sleep being excited and nervous about something(this part is a stretch) I don't know about the on felted feet part though. 'But I am not afraid of death' is literal.

IMO the "Sleep Well" music video gave us a clue about 1006 and Poppy true motivations. The song introduce the concepts of "freedom" "living in the shadows" and "living in a cage". In the early '90s the orphans and experiments lived in prison and slavery under Playtime rule of the Underworld. In 1995 the Prototype freed the Kids/experiments by killing all the adults but he denied them the freedom and self determination as he wanted them to live underground and form a new society under his rule cause he was obsessed to keep them safe. 1006 isn't evil, he is just paranoic and obessed . Poppy herself spent decades imprisoned in her cage in order to act as Elliot's Daughter, despite being alive and intelligent she was denied her freedom, to ability to grow and make her own decisions. After the hour of joy Poppy convinced part of experiments to Rebel against the prototype and to fight for true freedom but they lost the war and many perished. So in the end none of them its truly evil, they fight and commit atrocities for their own ideal. Thats the same for the scientists, they commited crimes for the ideal of scientific progress, they tought they will be heroes by freeing humanity from mortality. Put in this way the story of Poppy Playtime its very filosofic, like parents wanting to protect their children but ending up deny them to become adult and living their own lives wanting to keep them kids forever.

Poppy's not evil Sheep. Don't forget that this is HARLEY SAWYER saying this. As in the man who masterminded the atrocity of turning kids into toys in the first place. His idea of what is good and what is bad is probably going to be... *unconventional*, put mildly. For all we know he's just butthurt that Poppy seems to be trying to set right everything that happened with the Bigger Bodies, the Prototype, and the Hour of Joy. And we know the Prototype can mimic Sawyer's voice so it might even be the Prototype trying to turn us against Poppy. Right now I'm giving Poppy the benefit of the doubt, because it would be frankly cliche of the devs to make her evil at this point after two chapters of her being our ally and feel like a cop-out.

looks some kind of poem, it will be finished next month with the chapter 3 recap , maybe we will get a trailer for chapter 4 after that. The orientation notebook portraits Elliot as a very lonely person and the Poppy dolls as toys for lonely people as you can have somebody to talk to. IMO its totally possible that Poppy wasnt originally Elliot Daughter as he didnt have kids, even if he had one from his ex wife she would be an adult by the '60. Its my Idea that she is actually a makeshift daughter he built to overcome his depression, its unclear if he used human parts or if she's artificially made in the lab, remember that every Poppy Doll was actually smart and able to have a conversation back in the '50s and the playcare didn't existed to provide kids brains in large numbers back then. IMO the death in the family and the resurrection experiment are unrelated. As Elliot was likely 50 years old in '60s and he had no family its more likely that who passed away was actually his last close relative, like a parent or sibling, so as he felt left alone in the world he built a truly alive Poppy doll as a Daughter. The resurrection experiment seems much more recent , probably from the '80s and IMO its about himself cause he's getting very old and he Don't want to die as he has "unfinished business", remember that the biography states that he would never rest until he finished a project, this very obsession with his work prevented him from having a family. Just my idea, you can disagree

Of the new quote, specifically the first line "Over paths turning clear," one basic way it could be interpreted is that we may be faced with some kind of pathways which either rotate or occasionally fall away, not unlike those you'd see in obstacle courses. Idk: that was just the immediate first thing that came to mind. As for Poppy though, Harley (or 1006 mimicking Harley, who knows) really hasn't said anything to make me change how I feel about her. Rather his statements merely back me up. Poppy is not to be 100% trusted.

You've got to remember in chapter 3 Elliot said elliot said they needed a replacement for harley in the VHS. whether that means he was fired or more likely killed. that being the case why would he narrate the protagonist's journey while looking at the tapes. The best guess is this is the prototype using the voice of the person he would have interacted with most.

One theory... The only animal with felted feet are bunnies. Sleep Draws ever near possibly Meaning he was close to dying Bated breath which i think means he nearly had his final breath. Over path turning clear as he was trapped in the hole when he fell, leading to him being trapped and the last one "But i am not afraid of death" maybe meaning that the small chips on bunzo was bunzo eating himself... This Phrase turns our heads to bunzo who might have ate the bird and scratching himself as he was insane but its just a theory.. An ARG Theory!

I have a theory what if poppy is the prototype and the reason why is because she keeps on dragging us to kill the monsters and every time the prototype comes to take the body and the reason why we didn’t see huggy get take by the prototype is because he fell down the pipes before poppy could realize since she was still in her cage and ever since chapter 2 and 3 poppy knew that the player killed them, so she’s trying to act innocent so she could get what she wants, and probably kissy never knew, and plus every game or franchise needs or has a plot twist to it

And if it's not him narrating, it could be the prototype narrating, which I doubt since he didn't refer to the prototype as if it were himself when talking about how the prototype picked up Mommy's remains.

Funny enough that's basically my theory about the personality of Bron and my idea that the next chapter will be about and how he usually messes with Cat Bee and the other smaller toys she takes care of. Bron lies as easily as he tells the truth, especially when it comes to half-truths making it hard for everyone to figure out which is which before it's too late. My idea also involves him getting Cat Bee to betray the player because he threatens the life of the nonviolent toys she takes care of to make them part of the many of the dead toys you found throughout the game. Smaller toys that try to find a way out but get killed by the other toys that follow the Prototype or Huggy Wuggy who was the defacto guard dog to keep people out and the toys in.

Idk if you all ever saw mark's play through of pp2, but he found an Easter egg in the vents. The prototype's arm was on huggy. So, maybe it's taken huggy's body and that's going to be the main plot. But we don't know obviously. It's only a theory, a game theory!

I believe the message is sorted more like this --> *"Over paths turning clear, on felted feet and bated breath, sleep draws ever near, but I'm not afraid of death."* And I'm sure that once the Chapter 3 Recap is released, there will be another verse. *EDIT:* Since Harley (The Narrator of the Recaps) addressed the Prototype in third person, it's possible that Harley is not only still alive, but has been living in the Factory since the Hour of Joy. If that's truly the case, then he must've had a secret contingency plan for such a scenario. This also meant that he's been watching Us (The Player) traverse through the factory, surviving Monster after Monster. For all we know, Harley could've been the one who sent Us that Letter at the beginning of Chapter 1. If this theory is proven true, then we could actually meet Harley Sawyer either in Future Chapters, as well as officially learn about the Bigger Bodies Initiative. I know that we technically learned about it in Project Playtime, but I doubt the character we play as here knows that.

I think the message means catnip is actually coming back because everything about the Sleep draws near plus can up can survive a lot worse than what happened chapter 3 yeah he wasn't only electrocuted but also can't fire and kind of still survived that says if you think it will stop and kill him you're wrong,, the Sleep draws near means he may be coming back to because he can put people to sleep remember?

"I'm sorry I can't let you leave." Which means that Poppy needs her help, just like Ollie said "I know you're probably mad at Poppy for not letting you escape but she need you, WE NEED YOU." Telling us that Poppy is not a traitor. Or it will most likely betray us. Next, but when Ollie says this "You are our mission. Together we can save a lot of people, including, YOU." Leading us to concern why and how we can save a lot of people (into that game) but we cannot because they are most likely dead and we cannot revive them. It makes literally no sense to me. But it is concerning that Poppy has its own formula that we don't really know where and how it came from. But my opinion is depending on how you treat her, it will most likely treat you back. Plus if Poppy saw all the things happening on The Hour Of Joy , then what is she doing there and then how did she "saw" it if she is in the cage? I mean, look at the ending of the Chapter 1 we saw Poppy resting in the cage and we opened it, the room is blacked out ( no light ). And she says this "you opened my case." Now back to the question,What is she doing all the time when the hour of joy came out? Is she cooperating with the prototype? In my opinion **Again** maybe she is helping the prototype 1006 to catch all the antagonists and pretending to help us so that the Prototype be powerful. So your opinion might be close to me, but far **a bit** to my opinions. That's all... I know..

Isn’t the first riddle telling about catnap because it’s says sleep and catnap shoots out gas from his mouth and you can call that his breath. So maybe the second riddle is telling us about a monster in chapter 5 maybe.

I think The Doctor turned Elliot Ludwig into The Prototype and Poppy didn’t agree with Elliot/Prototypes plans and betrayed him. He didn’t have the heart to kill his daughter/poppy and instead locked her in the case.

I have solved the release date of the chapter 3 recap. Chapter 1: July 25th. Chapter 2: August 26th. So, chapter 3 would be: September 27th.
